There are way too many non-breaking news stories being placed in breaking news. It's gotten so bad, this is in breaking news. Please, if the story has been posted once in breaking news, it doesn't belong there again unless it's a critical update. Also, don't abuse topics. A story does not need to be posted in every single topic. It does not generate more hits to your thread.
Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Scott Peterson, etc, are not breaking news, unless convicted. This is tabloid journalism, we are a conservative forum.

If I may, I think a lot of it comes from the fact posters really are clueless regarless of the guidelines. I don't post new threads much and always search to see if it already exist.
I normally just go straight to Latest Posts which directs to News/Activism. I think many might get confused and think that's the place to post.
Also, you've mentioned many times you've moved something to "chat". Okay, where is "chat"? I don't find a button on the home page for "chat" or a "chat" forum.
But I see your dilemma. You are fighting the same problem in all of America. Assuming people understand the concept of "breaking news" vs. regular stuff. It's almost an uphill battle. So what to do? Cave in and change the names or keep posting abuse reminders?
And boy am I going to get blasted for this ;-), but most posters here are intelligent and if they don't "get it" we are doomed! lol

All of my jokes aside, I do appreciate what y'all do for FR.
Without it, it would be a complete madhouse, and I remember what it was like before you started.
Sometimes your decisions can be unpopular, but that's life, isn't it? *grins*

What if Idi Amin kills and eats Kobe? Breaking? Activism? Humor? That would be a Food-related thread, and would most likely fall under the "Misc." category... Then, we could all post KObe Bryant recipes etc... and we could ping carlos, so we can get some low-carb Kobe recipes as well. WHat a great educational thread that would be...

Will ping A/M again to take this into account.
Note to A/M: Would you allow the nick "Idi Admin"?

I always contradict. In fact, that's why I formed teh Contrarian Party, a political party that's sole agenda is to contradict everyone about everything. We don't hold any seats, or offices, but man, the debates are fun.*
*picture a group of stuffy politicians saying "I know you are , but what am I" and "Nu-uh" and "Yuh-huh" like schoolchidlren ;0)

Get this! A couple of weeks ago I start a thread and post it to Front Page News. About 20 posts or so into the thread, the powers that be around here bump it UP to Breaking News. My head's swellin' up so big, my chin keeps hittin' the control key. My fifteen minutes of fame lasted just about that long as they booted the thread back down into the general population within the next fifteen minutes. It was fun while it lasted.

Are you sure that the PTB did it? SOmeone else could have merely added it to the "Breaking News" topic, and then the PTB removed it when they noticed it?
[Sorry - did that burst your bubble? ;0)]

Lordy, I didn't know that was even possible. You mean we could get all kinds of folks in trouble by merely adding Breaking News as a topic? Talk about opening up a can of worms....

I'm guessing that the Admin Mods can see who added Topic, just like they can with determining who added what Keywords... ;0)

To: Admin Moderator
Oh yea, well, you guys (mods squad) are so consistent and accurate, anyway. You endeavor to hold us to your standards, but the way you bounce around and reclassify posts indicates the only consistency is your inconsistency. (sarcasm=off)
To: Admin Moderator
Sounds like they need you over at the "Speculation" channel to stop their downslide....
This just in..
And for the latest....
Fair and balanced...
And now for a Fox News Update....
There is a problem with hard news versus soft news as well as getting the opinion of too many that do not have first hand knowledge of events... That seems to be a trend in television journalism where there is too much sizzle and not enough steak...

Please, please, share with us whatever it is that makes you not care. I wish I didn't. But if another child molestor/murderer gets away with it by playing the wealth-and-race cards, I swear I am going to move to the moon with or without a space program to get me there.

Of course I want to see murderers and child molestors brought to justice. Let's just give all these trials equal play time. It seems the media gets locked on a story and then gets tunnel vision. There are many out there who don't care about Michael Jackson, celebrity or not, and then it's people like us who are forced to alter our programming patterns, simply because this is all the media wants to talk about.
