We were home when our house caught on fire. Fire Marshall said if we had been asleep we probably would have died of the smoke and fumes before we ever knew there was a fire. Our smoke alarm didn't go off until after the firemen had been here about an hour. Fire was in attic. Smoke alarm is in house. ( We now have smoke alarm in Attic, too! ) but you are not safe staying at home, either. So I just go on out and have a wild time. LOL (We are almost finished with the fire damage/repair, it was kept to one closet, and the firemen saved ALL of the clothes in that closet). Next door neighbor saw the smoke coming out of the roof and came over with the water hose and he and my son kept water pouring on the fire until firemen got here.
On a brighter note, we now know how to do sheetrock, insulation, etc. It is a big smelly mess to work with, expecially the texture.
But staying home isn't always so safe......

FOXNEWS: FAA says there WAS NO intruding aircraft. So was it an airplane in restricted airspace or not?
Is the White House still evacuated...or are people now returning to their offices? WTF? Or is this all BS?

Speaking of false alarms...
Anyone hear if the protests in England are as big as projected by the looney left?
I haven't heard anything so I would imagine it's a flop.

A 9:49 wire story says the plane got within 5 miles of the WH. The plane is still in the air heading southeast and the FAA is attempting to communicate.

Parts of White House Evacuated
Nov 20, 9:44 AM (ET) WASHINGTON (AP) - At least parts of the White House were evacuated Thursday. A plane flew within five miles of restricted airspace around the complex, the Secret Service said. "It's heading southeast away from the White House and the FAA is attempting to communicate with it," spokeswoman Jean Mitchell said. There was no official evacuation, she said. But White House staff members did leave the West Wing for a time, and then were allowed to return.

Probably another hysterical knee-jerk reaction to a pilot in a small plane passing within 20 miles. Yet had the plane attacked the White House your post would have undoubtedly read:
Why didn't they evacuate the White House? What are we paying the Secret Service for?

It seems to me that a plane traveling at around 120 mph,2 miles a minute,it would leave minimal time to evacuate if it truly was an emergency.Even within 10 miles it could make impact in five minutes.Lets see,by the time it is discovered, decision made to evacuate, evacuation announced, people leaving desk, travel time to exit, doesn't leave a whole lot of time.

No matter: they have built their own Bush statue, in order to tear it down. That is the most childish thing I've ever heard of. What's next? Will they all threaten to hold their breath until they turn blue?
