Yes, but you aborted it before it could blossom into real freedom. Perhaps.

Here's a song for ya:
Harder To Believe Than Not To (You might check out this guy's other stuff too. It really makes Christians think - which is why he fell out of favor in the Music Industry for a while and now does more behind the scenes work)

So you're all knowing too?
And instead of just saying "then again it may not" (which would have very cleverly gotten your point across) you had to up the ante another notch to "obnoxious" and make a slam?

Then what? There's a consequence to your "he should have said no." A consequence that I don't think you've considered in your zeal. I understand that full well. But should he claim to be pro gay if he isn't to keep people happy. Should he claim to be pro abortion to keep the right people happy? What we want from him is honesty above all else. After Clinton we all realize we would rather have an honest disagreement than someone with his finger in the air. I don't know where you stand on Christianity but I suspect you are not very concerned with how Christianity differs from Islam or the simple fact that it is the truth and Islam is a lie. They may be why it is easier for you to think in terms of expedience rather than truth.

Bush's right.
Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God.
A Muslim friend explained it to me years ago. That place in Mecca (I can't spell the name) is where Abraham offered the sacrifice to God. Or it's where Abraham is buried. Something like that. It's been many years, and at the time it didn't seem that important. Knowing how freepers can research anything, I'll let someone else come up with the story. At our earliest the three great religions have the same roots.

Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God.No, Christians and Jews worship Jehovah God, God Almighty. Muslims worship Allah, a 3000 year old moon god that was a local god at best. They are not the same

Very "prophetic."
Your response to my comment had absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

A Muslim friend explained it to me years ago. He must be a liberal Muslim. Muslim scholars would have taken him to task for that assertion.
Ergun Caner is a former Muslim now Christian and I have heard him speak. His father disowned him and his brother when they accepted Christ. He was involved in a televised debate (I can't remember where, and my video is packed away right now) along with a Muslim Imam and the moderator asked him this question about whether Muslims, Christians, and Jews all worshiped the same God. He said no, but was surprised they didn't ask the Muslim that - so he turned and asked the Muslim, who heartily agreed NO they did not worship the same God. That's why we're all called 'infidels' - although Christians and Jews do receive some kind of special treatment because we are considered 'people of the Book' - essentially meaning we have common roots. We aren't allowed to be quite as oppressed by Islam as downright pagans.

Because you are only seeing it from the Christian mindset and not from the Muslim mindset who absolutely believe that we all worship the same God.
I don't know where you stand on Christianity but I suspect you are not very concerned with how Christianity differs from Islam or the simple fact that it is the truth and Islam is a lie. They may be why it is easier for you to think in terms of expedience rather than truth.
Then if you don't know, perhaps you should leave your judgements out of it...

He died also in the Holy Land (in Hebron area). Do your homework.
