It's amazing how many people think it's no big deal.

I didn't realize I was struggling with anything. You admitted yourself living in fear of being struck down by sins you hadn't confessed/committed in ignorance. That's not a relationship with God. That is what Christianity is supposed to be. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, whether you realized it or not, you were struggling with assurance of salvation, struggling with understanding mercy and forgiveness and just how much God loves you in spite of the mistakes we make.

If the Jews start following them out like the Muslims have been, yes it would worry me. But they aren't. And the Muslims are.Not all Muslims are!!! You are generalizing again. If your generalization is correct, then every Muslim in the US would be killing infidels.
Every weeks, innocent people die at the hands of Muslims in the name of their religion. And you say "But that's just a coincidence". How many have to die before we say "Maybe it isn't"?
No, what I AM saying is that you can not blame the actions of radical Muslims on all Muslims. You can not compare the actions of a few and label the majority. If that were true... *sigh* the comparisons are endless. And your comparison between this conversation and Republicans/Democrats is histrionic at best. If you equate your politics to your religion, good for you. I don't.

The god operating through Mohammed was not God. I think the question we should keep asking when faced with the fusionist claims is "Was Koran dictated by the one true God?"

So, you're saying you're agnostic with regard to the nature of God, but you believe something must be out there? Yes, I believe there is a reasonable likelihood that something that "fits the bill of deity" exists somewhere. I believe this can be demonstrated through pure logic without scientific observation. I understand where the evolutionists are coming from but I reject the notion that I should only entertain thoughts that can be related to observable scientific inquiry.

Most muslims love God as revealed by Abraham and Moses. They have many distortions in their religion, but it is the same God...
Muslims worship the god of Muhammad, as revealed by Muhammad. That god is not God. The distortion is to claim that it is.

Did you notice that truthandlife used the word "could" in the statement you quoted, and not "will"? Yep noticed it right off..... did you notice that I also used truthie's terminology in the following giving truthie credit for not being specific.....
Then again it may not do in his whole Presidency..... you reckon?
Glad you are all knowing also............ Thanks.

BTW I had heard - if my recollection is correct - that some Baptists subscribe to a doctrine of perfectionism - that at some point in life it is possible to become perfect. Very incorrect and dangerous teaching.

So exactly what in my post indicates I am all knowing?
Throwing that around at anyone who takes issue with you is a silly way to copout of a real discussion.

You admitted yourself living in fear of being struck down by sins you hadn't confessed/committed in ignorance. That's not a relationship with God.This is not for you to say. You can only speak for yourself.
My relationship with what I perceived to be God was quite special to me and still is.

If your generalization is correct, then every Muslim in the US would be killing infidels. You are being inane. See my previous Democrats example. If the Democrats vote for a tax increase, that doesn't mean that every Democrat supported it. But it passes just the same.

that some Baptists subscribe to a doctrine of perfectionism Well, I can't speak for those Baptists. I was taught that man was a sinner. That only through Christ was there salvation. That even the most pious man would still be judged by Him on that day- claims to perfection notwithstanding.
