Again, how so? Neither Koran nor Bible demonstrate the existence of any God in my opinion. So which one do I go with and why? Have you read the Bible and the Koran? If not, you need to do so. Then I'll be happy to reply to specific follow up questions. Finding truth does take effort, especially on a topic as deep as God.

And he shut down that line of reasoning really quick, didn't he?
Did you get your extended version of the TT...

Sad commentary on the intellectual life of our nation and forum to say nothing of the spiritual health that it isn't a "DUH!" that Moslems and Biblical Christians
do not worship the same God.

The question is not whether Bible or Koran can "demonstrate the existence of any God" to a skeptic, but if content of Koran is in sufficient agreement with the Bible to consider God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God of Muhammad.
Go to the library and do your homework, son.

Pick a recipe you like and follow it.LOL, I have my own recipe already and it doesn't include a deity- although it acknowledges that there could be something that would qualify as a deity. I was just remarking that for the non-believer it is hard to tell which side to choose between all the religions. In a way, it seems to me people would get along a lot better if they all thought they were worshiping the same deity- just in different ways- than fighting over who's deity was real and who's not.

When in doubt, change the argument.

How true! We may call Him by different names, but he is still God.I am highly offended by your blasphemy and your vicious attack on Christians. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not the same god of terrorists, and pagans. Those who worship Allah will still burn in Hell. To slander the Creator God by saying that He is anything we want Him to be is the epitomy of arrogance and rebellion.

Wow! That's telling me off! You know, it is easy to assume your screen name stands for "politically correct extremist" (not sure about the 99, unless that is a multiple of your IQ).

I think Bush meant "THINK they worship the same God". Muslims THINK they worship the God of Abraham.

Ok, but A. Pole, why should I believe either one of these documents over the other? Aaargh! Only compare them to see if they are compatible.

They are various sects and cults which "see Jesus as another prophet". This does not mean that they actually incorporate the New Testment. New Testament and Koran are quite apart.Your response was to the wrong person. "pcx99" posted the following politically correct nonsense: "Islam may very well be a cult and false religion, for that matter so may christianity. But because they all have the old-testiment at their core (and islam has a form of the new testment incorporated since they see Jesus as another prophet) they, by all definition, worship the same exact god. Merely seen through different eyes."
To: A. Pole
Now you are switching the subject. How so? If neither document demonstrates a deity in the first place, why should I use either document as a proof of anything regarding this matter? I mean, in the big scheme of things it's a moot point. No deity demonstrated in the Bible. No deity demonstrated in the Koran. Useless to argue which deity is real and which not (or whether they're both the same) when neither have been demonstrated in the first place.

Agreed. All their endless arguments stem from ignorance. Let a successful Christian embrace the Beatific Vision, and let a successful Muslim do the same. The feast is identical. But everyone is lazy and contented with stale bread and dirty water.
To: pcx99
Like I say, if you deny the God of Christians is not the God of Islam then the God of Christians can't be the God of the Jews, and the God of Catholics can't be the God of the baptists and the god of the Baptists can't be the God of the methodists and the god of the methodists can't be the God of the Mormons.A statement made in total ignorance compounded by profound arrogance. To lump all monotheistic religions into one bucket is to also say that Baál worship is just a valid variation of Judaism.

No deity demonstrated in the Bible. I assume you have never read it then. The Bible talks about God. It does not prove God because you cannot prove God to someone who doesn't wish to see Him.

Mr. Bush is no theologian. It's quite obvious to anyone who knows logic that the two versions of God contradict one another. Both cannot possibly be true at the same time.

"
But I think he could have been prepared with a little bit better answer."I certainly agree with that! How would you have answered this obviously loaded question?
I suppose I would have used Scripture: "God...has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth.." (Acts 17:26) and there are a lot of different views of views of who He is.
