Senator James Shields represented Illinois in the U.S. Senate from 1849-1854, Minnesota from 1857-1859, and Missouri from 1877-1879. Must be a goofy carpetbagging unelectable nut, according to the Bob Smith hating "conservatives" on FR.

I see their boy Sununu voted with McCain, Jeffords, and Chaffee to help the RATs defeat the energy bill. It needed 60 votes to pass. Quit a few moderate Democrats voted for it, but RINOs won't even consider it.

Sununu's warming up to convince G.W. to appoint another Souter to the bench. History repeats itself.
