New Evidence in J.F.K. Assassination Compels L.B.J. Attorney, Barr McClellan, To Demand Release of Documents

Monday November 17, 3:35 pm ET

McClellan, Former Attorney for Lyndon Baines Johnson, Petitions Support Of Senate Judiciary Committee and Department of Justice to Investigate New Evidence and to Release All Documents in J.F.K. Assassination Case

WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Barr McClellan, an attorney who worked closely with former President Lyndon Baines Johnson, has asked for the support of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Department of Justice to investigate new evidence of L.B.J.'s involvement in the J.F.K. assassination. McClellan has also asked for the release of hundreds of documents that were withheld by the C.I.A. and F.B.I. from a 1998 investigation conducted by the Assassination Records Review Board.

"The American public has waited forty years to hear the truth about the J.F.K. assassination," said McClellan. "For government agencies to withhold critical evidence and not cooperate with the AARB investigation is a form of obstruction of justice. Under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, the public should be granted access to these documents."

According to McClellan and former AARB investigator Doug Horne, hundreds of relevant documents were withheld from the 1998 investigation into the J.F.K. Assassination. They believe that these materials are now in the possession of the National Archives, relocated from sealed files previously controlled by the C.I.A. and F.B.I. Additionally, McClellan has suggested a formal review of the evidence in his book, "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K." which clearly shows a direct connection between L.B.J. and the individual involved with the assassination and cover-up.

"At this time we need to see what else is missing and what else would be helpful to presenting the entire truth," McClellan continued. "The Senate Judiciary Committee and the Department of Justice could make the request of the National Archives and should do so."

A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, at which time McClellan will make a more specific request for document production, and will detail support for this cause from diverse and highly placed sources. The public and media are invited to attend this special conference at the National Press Club, in Washington, D.C. at 3:00 p.m. EST. "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K." by Barr McClellan was released last month by Hannover House. 464 pages, $24.95 sugg. retail, ISBN 0-9637846-2-5. NATIONAL PRESS CLUB, 529 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20045

I read Gerald Posner's book about the assassination, and that's all I needed to know.

Let other people talk amoungst themselves about the updated and accurate information. If you want to remain uninformed - fine! Do not bother the rest of us with your stubborn refusal to see things for what they really are.

When you're here more than TWO DAYS, you can start giving orders to posters who've been here for FIVE YEARS.

Button it up, babe!

Have you read his book?
No. I'm sick of books about Kennedy.

I read Gerald Posner's book, and it was so comprehensive, lucid, and convincing that Oswald acted alone, I haven't read another book on the assassination since, and don't intend to read any more.

Just thought I'd inform everyone again of your refusal to learn anything new. Button your own lip up. I've followed JFK stuff for 40 years now - just because I've managed to suffer with "YOUR" comments for only two days means nothing. (Actually I feel rather lucky about that.) I thank God it's been only two days. Don't make me laugh.

Just my two cents. I was a photography student at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in 1986 and had an Instructer whose name escapes me at the moment - who was a White House Photographer for the Kennedy Administration. He was in the car directly behind Kennedy's shooting with his movie camera (if you have ever seen the footage of people running or that lady laying on the ground, he's the one who shot that), at the realization that something was happening he jumped from his chase car to film. He was a Navy photographer during WWII and Korea, and has seen combat.
He would not talk to us about specifics of that day other than to show us plenty of pic's and to indicate that what he experienced did not fit the official version.
Needles to say he left the White House staff shortly after.
Not sure this adds anything.

I'm thinking his name was Atkins - not sure unless I dig out my old records.

What is he, about 80?

No, he looks around 70.

He's on the edges of sanity, with this silly theory.

What theory? He is simply providing first-hand accounts.

Should courts be ran that way? Just one set of lawyers present their case?

When you're here more than TWO DAYS, you can start giving orders to posters who've been here for FIVE YEARS.

There's a seniority system here?

There's no "case." Everybody involved here is dead.

It's all theories, so lighten..up!

I like Posner, you like McClellan, somebody else likes Tex Marrs.

Don't get emotionally invested in something that will NEVER be resolved.

Except McClellan, and he's talking finally.

It's all theories, so lighten..up!

I'm not the one namecalling, you are.

I like Posner, you like McClellan, somebody else likes Tex Marrs.

But I'm willing to listen to anything anyone has to say. I don't close my ears to half the argument like you do. I watched shows that support the Warren Report, and I'm not impressed with their evidence. I watched shows that presented McClellan's evidence and it was very impressive. Mac Wallace was a killer. Henry Marshall was killed while going after Johnson. The fingerprint evidence was good also. And it goes on.

Don't get emotionally invested in something that will NEVER be resolved.

Again, you are the one namecalling, not I. Plus, it is nearly resolved for me. It's becoming clear to me what happened that day and why.

It is not a fact that Mac Wallace killed John F. Kennedy. So, it's just a theory.

Your post definitely added something to the thread and I'm sure I join everyone in thanking you. There have been so many people who have come forward with statements conflicting with the Warren Report. I don't know how it could be believed that the voters would be so stupid as to not pay any attention to any of the actual witnesses. As the years have gone by, communication has gotten so much better. One only has to look at a thread such as this to know that we're not so accepting of what they (the government at the time) has tried to make us believe. Actually, when you think about it - the government had little regard for what we did/didn't believe at the time. They had made up their mind they were going to play the same old stunts they had gotten by with for years and that was that. If Texas had paid a bit more attention to what Johnson and his cronies were up to in Texas - the American public would never have been burdened with losing a popular president. If you ever see your friend, please thank him for his film contribution. He did more for the American public then he realizes.

I fully accept it as fact - many won't. Not my problem. Wallace's print was absolutely and definitively identified in the shooter's nest (6th floor). His prints were the only ones that DID NOT BELONG THERE. Perhaps I should add - I now believe (and evidence shows) he was ONE of the killers. There is still the matter of the shots coming from the front of the limo to consider.

FACT.

That Wallace killed Kennedy? Based on the word of Billy Sol Estes, a convicted liar?

I'm laughin'!

Well, based on your logic, I guess you think Bush allowed 9/11 to happen.

He had the most to gain, right?

He will likely win re-election because of the way he has responded to 9/11 and the War on Terrorism. So, yes, he gained.

But, he didn't bring it about, or allow it.

Nor did Johnson kill Kennedy.
