WTC. 1993. bin LA

Nope - Iraqi (state) sponsored terrorism.

BTW - that regime is now defunct ...

So is Al Qaeda/bin Laden.

No more controibution to terror can be expected from these two sources ...

"Now, is there a connection between the Iraqi government and the original World Trade Center bombing in '93" Cheney said. "We know, as I say, that one of the perpetrators of that act did in fact receive support from the Iraqi government after the fact."

But the first World Trade Center bombing is not precisely considered an Al Qaeda operation by American counterterrorism officials.

At the time, Al Qaeda was in its formative stages in Sudan, and officials said they know of no conclusive evidence that ties either Usama bin Laden or the Iraqi government to the attack.

I see, if you swat two malaria laden mosquitos, there's no more danger of getting malaria.

Now you're starting to make sense!

Are you going to do serious cause and effect analysis or a 'scatter shot' in the hopes of arriving at some meaningful interpretation?

Link sources/or the source/sponsoring organizations AND their 'hits' or bombings - otherwise you've got un-correlated source orgainzations to events for meaningful extrapolation of 'trouble' from any given organization/sponsor of terror ...

Interesting.

So, who's responsible for the recent terrorism in Iraq, Istanbul, Riyadh, and Mecca?

You've arrived at this point:

"When you're up to your 'hips' in aligators, it is difficult to remember your original objective was to drain the swamp."

They let you have internet access?
ROTFLMAO!
A significant number of people who post on this site, would consider it proper behavior to deficate twenty feet upstream from their campsite, and dip into the nearby "pure" nayural water to brew coffee.

A whole lot of educated idiots best get on the goodside of of their ignorant redneck relatives who know how to act when the power goes down.

I eye the gated communities as more of a threat than an actual terrorist event.

Those people have no clue as to how to act in anemergency.

What we have here is a communications failure! My fault, entirely!

Calpernia-I errored in reading your post.I thought you were talking about wanting Poulin's "valuable" opinions.

Null and Void-I posted a knee jerk response to you based on my initial error of miss-understanding whose opinion Calpernia wanted to consider.

I apologise to both of you.

I have a nodding aquaintance with the subject of power supply and production, obtained by osmosis, as my former husband was a lineman for the USAF.

I have a soft-spot in my heart for high voltage electricians.I am sorry I missunderstood the posts of both of you. That is what I deserve for replying from replies, instead of returning to the thread.
Please forgive me my stupidity.

Thank you and no problems here. And, I too, have made responses and remarks without understanding/misreading posts.

I do see how _Jim can be relentless on his views. I don't always agree with his views. But he really posts good information on explaining things and references where he got his information from. I really appreciate that in his posts.

N&V knows some great information too. But he is usually very quiet about what he knows unless he is on a thread, ironically, with _Jim. So, wrong or right, I like bringing them on a power thread together.

It is more than likely my own whacky head; but reading the explainations of how electricity works kinda took the so called boogyman out of the power going out. I've found the more I learn about things, the less I'm afraid of them.

Alway true, no matter the particular boogyman.

As I FReep mailed you, I enjoy crossing swords with underscoreJim. He is very bright, but sometimes so very wrong.

I think the interaction improves both of us, and the honest reasoned exchange is the very soul of FR. (Sometimes it degenerates to name calling, but that happens a lot on FR, too!)
