Jackson bail for Multiple Child Molestation set at $3,000,000!!! (Live Thread)

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Police who searched Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch amid allegations of child molestation were armed with an arrest warrant for the pop icon, NBC television said.
The network cited "many sources" as having seen the arrest warrant for Jackson when authorities swooped down on his ranch near Santa Barbara, California, on Tuesday.
The search, apparently for evidence related to child abuse allegations, continued overnight into Wednesday, NBC said.
Police said they would announce details of the search at 11:00 am (1900 GMT) Wednesday.
Jackson family lawyer Brian Oxfam confirmed reports that the raid was sparked by new child abuse allegations against the 45-year-old father of three.
"The search warrant that was served at Neverland ranch early yesterday morning indicated that there was a 12-year-old boy who was a complaining witness concerning sexual molestation accusations," Oxfam told NBC.
"We don't know the identity of the child, we don't know the specifics of the accusations, and to all intents and purposes, we simply are investigating this and we do not know what it is all about at this point," he added.
The highly publicized swoop -- which took place while Jackson was in Las Vegas, Nevada -- reignited suspicions that have been swirling around Jackson since he was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy 10 years ago.
Between 60 and 70 investigators armed with a search warrant flooded the sprawling estate near Santa Barbara at 8:30 am (1630 GMT) Tuesday, Senior Sheriff's Deputy Tim Gracey told AFP.
The raid coincided with Jackson's release of "Number One," his first album since "Invincible" flopped last year.

"We have a life other than Michael Jacson" says DA. This guy is not impressive. This could be his biggest case ever and her should treat it like it is and not cavalerly.

The police do not know the exact location of Michael Jackson at this time. Some reports have him in a hotel in Vegas, another report said that he left.

He said: "It's not sexual. We're going to sleep. I tuck them in and I put a little music on and when it's story time I read a book. "We go to sleep with the fire on and I give them hot milk and cookies. It's very charming and very sweet. It's what the whole world should do." It's, uh, what my little sister & I used to do with our dolls and stuffed animals - WHEN WE WERE (chronologically) LITTLE GIRLS!!!
Too bad he didn't just collect dolls and stuffed animals....

I'm surprised he didn't fly the coop and go to Europe during the raid.

Yeah, they're saying they "heard" he may have left the Las Vegas hotel last night.

60-70 Investgators from Santa Barbara county searched the property and served warrants.
The DA stated that he is sad that there are other victims of Jackson since 1993.
The reporters are questioning why Jackson still has custody of his children with these children. They are also wondering why the sheriff doesn't know exactly where Jackson is at this time, but that they are in contact with his attorneys.

Jackson can't play the racist card either, he's no longer a minority. Heck, he's whiter than most white people are - by the end of winter! He has made derogatory comments regarding blacks who are, well, *black*. Anyone recall the strange reference that he used? It slips my mind at the moment.

This guy is not impressive. This could be his biggest case ever and her should treat it like it is and not cavalerly. I disagree. He seems like a guy who will do what needs to be done, no more, no less. I distrust those who act like it's the case of their lives -- they seem more interested in a conviction to boost their career, rather than because it's the right thing to do. And I like the way he is being brusque with the press. He reminds me of Donald Rumsfeld.

It's from Woody Allen.
Odd that I would bring up his name on a pervert thread. :)

how long would he last in the 'slammmer'? they'd have to have isolated facilities.... As I mentioned yesterday, in a jail with all those BIG, SCARY MEN?? Oh, no! He'll need special protection for sure. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a juvenile detention center... (eewwwww....)
On the bright side, he has all those life size mannequins to keep him company while he's isolated...

They are also wondering why the sheriff doesn't know exactly where Jackson is at this time, but that they are in contact with his attorneys. It's a good question. I'm not at all impressed with the DA or this raid at this point. I hope they aren't as sloppy with the evidence as they are with everything else so far.
To: TrappedInLiberalHell
If Jackson is watching the press conference, they are encouraging to turn himself in.

They may not have sent anybody....but I wonder if they "asked" Las Vegas authorities to pick him up?
