3. Beat/dominate any female in his family that crossed him
4. Paradise and many virgins if killed in Jihad

Despite all the peaceful Muslims I've known and worked with, I have no illusions.
Those who truly embrace the written scripture of Islam probably are happy because
they've found a "religion" that can satiate lots of base desires.

Ledesma became enamored with how Muslims stick to what the prophets practiced centuries ago, unlike he says how modern Christians improvised in their worship.

Actually, I think there's another reason. Christianity (thanks to Vatican II) seems to have become doctrine-free and has virtually no traditional public worship left. Islam is, of course, a fairly modern syncretist religion. But the destruction of Catholic tradition has left a massive void, particularly in traditionally Catholic peoples, and people will turn to anything rather than live with this hollowness at the center of their lives. Furthermore, Islamic missionary activity is extremely well funded, and is actively exploiting the weakness of modern Catholic Christianity.

While true for the vast majority of cases, I can see other angles.

To my naughty mind, I see Islam as one of the pre-eminent "code of ethics
for thugs", with great appeal to men wishing to answer their baser instincts,
while having a veneer of religional respectibility with these sorts of positives:

Kill your infidels neighbors and take their stuff...even better,
enslave them and make them into an un-ending cash-flow system.

Have as many as four wives at once. And be able to divorce them at will and
cycle new sex-slaves, er, wives through the household.

What's not to like!? For males of baser instinct...

The one thing that I can't wrap my mind around is the female that would convert to Islam.
The desire for a long-term sado-masochistic relationship is about the
only explanation I can think of for a woman who willingly converts to Islam.


All-in-all, I am thankful that most Muslims are apostate. They are simply people
of fairly good will who either ignore or are ignorant of what is in the Koran/Hadith.

I fear the day they all become observant Muslims like Osama and the Palestinian terrorists.
