When I lived in Kali, I dreaded going to the DMV. The workers there were the most obnoxious people you would ever not want to meet.
Arnold is doing well so far.

I believe there must be a school to teach DMV employees how to be slow, rude, and beligerent. It is not a problem unique to Kalifornya, but is national!

When I lived in New York City and went to the DMV to get a license (on my lunch hour) the line was so long it was unbelieveable. While we waited, we could see the DMV folks just sitting at their desks talking on the phone, talking to each other, reading the paper, or otherwise not doing anything much and completely ignoring us. Finally, a tall man, very executive looking, stepped up and screamed "Does anyone WORK here?" That got the DMV workers moving. I never forgot that experience. I was very young then and it motiviated me to become interested in politics and government. And yes, there's something seriously wrong. I firmly believe they could have gotten rid of all of these DMV non-workers, hired half their number in efficient, working individuals thereby saving taxpayers money.
