Further Review of recent CNN poll on Passing Prescription Drug Plan
AP | 11/17/2003 | AP via Polling data

...Eight in 10 said they would be angry or upset if Congress should adjourn this year without passing a prescription drug plan for older Americans. Of those people who would be upset, they said they would blame Republicans by a 2-1 margin.

Quote from the Recent Poll on Bush's popularity. Now whether you agree that there should be a plan or not, it is obvious the Republicans have worked out plan that the Democrats are threatening (Thanks to Senator "Hiccup" Kennedy) to note allow a vote on. Are you telling me that by a 2-1 margin, these voters would blame Republicans now. Again whether you like it or not, the Republicans have got the Democrats in a heckuva Box, just like they did to Clinton with Welfare Reform. This time though, it will be either

a) Democrats blocked a bill

b) Republicans passed the bill.

Some die hard conservatives may be pissed but this will be a net political victory. Also, while it is expanding an entitlement, there are at least pieces that force market system influences.

You can never go broke underestimating the stupidity of most people. This amazes me,,is our entire citizenry incapable of seeing something as plain as the nose of their face or is this that they think the pubs should let the dems write the bill so it would be passed. I am disgusted.
