I don't think so originally at all, but as it progressed I'm sure the pills and addiction were hard to resist.

The first time most people take narcotics it is with a doctors prescription. Many like Rush, later become dope addicts. Anybody who can't clearly see the lie that narcotics represent is in danger with them. Very few people dislike them (at least the first day or two of use!) I thank God I can see their lie. When I am prescribed them I can take them. With alcohol and it is a different story for me. I can't stop drinking once I start. I realize that my will with alcohol is futile. My will got me to the point I destroyed my life. Since October 12, 1984 I have not had to take a drink (or illicit drug) by the grace of God.
