Maryland Republicans have an excellent opportunity to defeat Babs next year as there are, so far, SIX Repubs already filed for candidacy for your primary. This gives Old Line Staters six (6) times the opportunity to inundate the voters with the truth about Mikulski's leftist record. Take advantage of it! From politics1.com:

The main problem here in good 'ol Maryland is that unless the challenger has a high name recognition and an extremely organized and well-financed campaign, they have virtually no chance against an entrenched Dem. like Mikulski. The reason: Dem. voters are inclined to look for the person with the (D) after their name on the ballot and stick with that...

Pipkin has the most name recognition of all those you listed, but that's not saying much. I think it would take Lt. Gov. Mike Steele to beat Mikulski.

I will, however, remain optimistic and campaign like heck for whomever ultimately runs against her in the general election.
