[history]
It is a piquant cultural moment: Rush Limbaugh, the nation's most popular radio host, returns to the airwaves today after spending 33 days in a rehab center after a public disclosure that he was addicted to prescription painkillers.
The listening audience will include friends and foes. There are the 20 million regular listeners who savor his return and the critics who chronicled his travails in recent weeks with glee and sarcasm.

The listening audience will include friends and foes. He has more friends than foes. I won't miss his show tomorrow.

Let's try this...RUSH paid the Inquirer to run the story, hired a PR firm the milk it and has spent the last month on a secret island to build suspense in order to slay the liberals in one fell swoop...Naa

I will hear it with a 1 hour delay. Not all stations stuck by him. Ours went quick to delay him after 15 years.

Piquant is a word that ought to be reserved for fine wine and bitter fruit.
To: JeanS
Rush's absence has made me realize more than ever how much I love him.
To: kattracks
The part I love is that the libs thought after over a decade of trying, this would completly sink Rush and they could take credit for it. Shows how stupid they are.

amen to that... I will be playing it at work, don't care what anyone has to say. I actually got in on Rush's show and Rush is forever the gentleman. Real friends don't cut and run when a buddy is down. Libs are spineless, and will leave you high and dry in the thick of it.

No they will not. Jason asked them to do this for him they said forget it. Now when he leaves they delay Rush. Because of Joe they will stay at 12:00 so they can have Joe on drive time.
