VaxGen's experimental AIDS vaccine couldn't block HIV infection among volunteers in Thailand, the Brisbane company said Wednesday, in another blow for the closely scrutinized drug.

The vaccine, dubbed AIDSVAX, had no noticeable effect on infection rates among the 2,546 intravenous drug users in Bangkok who volunteered for the study. Nor did it slow the disease's progress among volunteers who took the vaccine and later contracted HIV.

What kind of a braindead moron is going to volenteer to risk getting aids ? Even if they told me the vaccine was 99.99 percent certian to work it would be a cold day in hell before I risk exposure to hiv after getting the vaccine

then theres this Although the vaccine will be used in another trial now recruiting volunteers in Thailand,

they have already proven the vaccine doesnt work but they are still going to recruit more volunteers to get aids and die everyone involved in the new trials needs to be charge with a couple thousands counts of attempted murder or at the very least a couple thousand counts of assisting a suicide

They don't willingly volunteer per se. They are already engaged in high risk behavior. Their addiction or their ignorance makes them oblivious to the risk. You might want to check this link:
