Just to let y'all know...there WERE some anti's that showed up...really! About 12-18 of them stood by the entrance to Camp Murray. Some of them were waving blue flags with a picture of the Earth on them. However, they were a little hard to spot....

..because they were SURROUNDED by US flag-waving patriots!! These fine people were infiltrating among the scum, standing in front of them, and generally covering up their anti-American message so our brave troops reporting for duty wouldn't have to see their filth! They finally left at about 2pm, marching in line away from the gate, and being followed the whole way by flag-waving Americans. It was inspiring, I tell you!

Something that wasn't mentioned was the driving rainstorm that happened at about 11am. Do you think it stopped us? HAH! The prevailing thought was "If these troops can stand 12 months in desert heat defending our freedom, by golly, we can stand up to a little rain!"

Thanks to all who attended. I'm quite sure the troops got the message: "We support you 100%!"

You mean there were only 12-18 leftist demonstrators the whole time?? I'm in Seattle and I thought they could have round up more than that from the UW campus.

Thanks to all of you who went.

I'm the widow of a Vietnam vet who had a very hard time adjusting after his return, due to people like Not in my name members. Every since I heard about the protest at the base, I've been sick at heart. These people have no idea what they may be doing to the psyche of a young soldier.

Again, thanks to all of you who made it. I'm sure many of us who couldn't come were thinking of you and supporting you with our thoughts and prayers.

Bless our troops.

This report is positively heart-warming.

When I leave, I only dare hope for a fraction of the turnout.

" However, they were a little hard to spot"

LOL! You said it sandwich #62...I don't think the brave soldiers showing up had much luck playing "Where's Waldo the liberal?" Be my guest...BTW thanks to the State Troopers for not ticketing me for jaywalking repeatedly!;-D

I love the way we forced them into a huddle and then interpenetrated THAT with flags and "LOSER" postits! It was a good day!
