Suicide Car Bombers Kill 23 in Turkey

ISTANBUL, Turkey - Suicide car bombers attacked two synagogues in downtown Istanbul at almost the same time Saturday, killing 23 people, the interior minister said.

One explosion went off outside the Neve Shalom synagogue, the city's largest. The other severely damaged the Beth Israel Synagogue in the affluent district of Sisli, three miles away.

An outlawed Turkish radical group called the Great Eastern Islamic Raiders' Front claimed responsibility, the semi-official Anatolia news agency said.

Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu said 23 people were killed, while Anatolia said more than 80 were wounded. He said both attacks were suicide car bombings.

Television footage showed medical teams carrying away several people, some with bloodied or charred faces. Private NTV television showed the twisted wreckage of a car and a huge crater in front of the Neve Shalom.

NTV television said a red car was seen parked just before the explosion in front of the Neve Shalom. Police suspected that the car may have been laden with bombs, NTV said.

In 1986, gunmen killed 22 worshippers and wounded six during a Sabbath service at the Neve Shalom synagogue. The Iranian-backed Shiite Muslim group Hezbollah carried out a bomb attack against the synagogue in 1992, but no one was injured.

Sad and infuriating. Turkey is a pretty good country, the best Muslim country of all with plenty of tolerant people. One would hope that this ghastly bombing would outrage the populace to the extent that every citizen would help track down and kick out terrorists.

It is time that these monstrous wild animals not be captured, not be put in jail, but just outright killed on the spot. You guys should see the video footage of the aftermath of these bombings.

Fox News reporter is saying that Al Queda is suspected. But a spokesman for the Turkey government on CNN is saying that they do not want to jump to conclusions, they want to verify before they say.

Also on Fox News they are reporting a very strong odor of ammonia.

However, I think that ever country that against these wild animals should all stand up now and stand together and root out these murders and send them on their murderous way to meet their demonic virgins.

Well, at least there are 2 terrorist eliminated from the geme pool. Unfortunately, I think it will take generations to get totally rid of them. I cannot believe that countries put up with obvious "family" problem that raises these animals. The mothers and fathers actually encourage their offspring to blow themselves up and take as many with them as possible as if it is some sort of social elevation for the parents and they promise "heavenly rewards" for them if they do so. Now, how the hell can they promise this when they have never been there?? and are not blowing their own selves up?

Once they taste Jewish blood they get a warm feeling in their loins and there's no stopping their lust for more.

Arabs, in general, are medieval creatures. Like the moment the apeman sensed that a rock could be used for a tool-give the the Arabians another 300 years and they may discover the slightest sense of a Western concept of humanity .
