First was a bomb car in that place and that ignited gas canisters around, causing a fire.

I wonder how they got the canisters placed. Given that this location was apparently watched like a hawk 24/7. Guards bribed?

Not sure. But this guy on Israel Radio said that it is a very narrow secure street around the place and he is suprised the cars got into the street.

Or could that be the normal gas supply to the building? They use bottled gas instead of being on gas mains? (I'd think they'd want to be all-electric -- safer.)

I would think countries in that part of the world, like Israel, uses Gas Canisters for their needs. It could be the normal gas supply to the building, however, I believe it was placed there to create a large fire so when people ran out, they would be burned.

I know you can use fertilizer and fuel oil to make a bomb but I don't know any granulated fertilizer which smells like ammonia and ammonia fertilizer is either a liquid or a gas.

That's an old link, and I wonder what's become of him in the past few years. His organization has blown up lots of people and things to establish an Islamic State in Turkey.
