One side note: The Democrats were complaining of the extra costs of keeping the Senate open. I wonder how they figured that, as all the staffers we spoke to told us that they were salaried employees, and were not getting paid overtime.

They'll do anything...

Thank you for the kinds words. We're always honored to be in the company of great Connecticut FReepers like you and Ed.

I was impressed with Norm Coleman, also. I saw him last night on C-SPAN2 taking part in a Senate debate on the economy. He did a good job defending the tax cuts.

Thanks! Action on Capitol Hill is tough for us working folks. Because this started in the evening, we were able to muster in greater numbers.

The Post has a daily circulation of about 800,000. Being that the nearly actual-sized photo of the buttons was placed across from the TV schedule, there's a good chance hundreds of thousands of people saw our message.

Check your regular mailboxes soon -- buttons are in the mail.

With the unveiling of those democrat memos (wonder what else is on that hard drive that the dem. Senators had locked up?) showing the strategy they used to deliberately malign and obstruct the filibustered judicial nominations, it looks like the DC Chapter will have more freeping to do on the Hill.

That's the kind of exposure publicity people kill for.
