Either Caroline Glick is one of the most brilliant analysts around, or I'm as deluded as she is. And she didn't simply echo what I was already thinking, because in this article she put things in a way I had not previously considered. It's about European nihilism, anti-Semitism, and its attempt to restore its lost glory.

I've seen countless examples of Greek anti-Semitism amongst the Greek community here in Canada, small though it may be. By association, they also hate America for her support of Israel. Not sure where it comes from, as always, I assume it to be envy. The Greeks fancy themselves good businessmen and I suppose they are threatened by the resourcefulness of the Jewish people.
It looks to me that anti-semitism is on the rise in the world as a whole. Sometimes I wonder whether I'm living in the year 2003 or 1930's Germany.

"Europe wants America to accept its cultural superiority and in so doing, hitch US military and financial might to European visions of social engineering and global governance." Europe wants America to be it's unpaid mafia goon, as Clinton agreed to in our war on Serbia. An immoral war we entered into on the wrong side of to appease Europe, most especially France.
The reason they all hate Bush so much is that he is not selling out the farm like Clinton, the European toilett paper was so happy to do. Europe gives Clinton credit for single handedly saving the E.U. which was on it's way down the tubes.
There was a tin foil hat article on FR at one time claiming that there is no gold in Ft. Knox, that it is in the possession of Germany who called their loans to us due. And that this gives Germany the idea that we are their hired gun. Maybe it is time to take a peek inside Ft. Knox after all.

i also wonder why many greeks tend to be anti-semitic, they are christians so one would think there would be more similarities in a historical context
perhaps it's more of a political issue, greece has swung to the left in recent years.
does any freeper have a more definitive answer????

I have to disagree with the writer. The root of Israel's percieption in other's eyes is Israel itself. It Israel acted as if it owned the land, and declared this openly to the world without hesitation, the world would accept it.
It is only because Israel thinks it must "negotiate" over Israel's right to exist that it has this problem. If Israel annexed all the land under its control, acted decisively against all inhabitants who openly reject its rule and declined discusson with any and all who protest, the world would accept Israel and its borders.

"...In short, the Geneva initiative that the EU stands so squarely behind, calls for the end of Jewish sovereignty in Israel and the reinstitution of an international mandate like that of the League of Nations."
No, it isn't some fringe article, this is a priority read. Then pass it along to your regular email lists.

If the Jews of Israel need the support of Europe or the UN to remain in the land, they should start making plans to leave now.
