Court begins at 9:30 am (PST) on Friday, November 14th in Department 2 of Superior Court. This will be the 10th day of the Scott Peterson Preliminary Hearing. Media members with seating credentials must be seated in the courtroom by 9:15 am.

Statistically, the significant other is often the perp. For this reason alone cops usually focus on the significant other and do their best to bulid a case, even when there isn't one to be made. I know that I will be suspect numero uno if anything ever happens to my ex (who I pay dearly)even if I'm innocent. For this reason I always give the benefit of doubt to the suspect.

I can't do that with Scott. While all the legal talking heads jabber about the minutae of the case, I am overwhelmed by the fact that Laci's body turned up where Scott had gone fishing. Scott just plain did a poor job of weighting her down and never expectedd her to surface.

He's guilty in my book.

He planned the perfect murder but he didn't know how mother nature worked. Had he put the bodies in a chest, they wouldn't have surfaced. But then, there's the shape which can be picked up on sonar.

Many missing bodies are found after many years, buried in the woods in shallow graves (we found two in our area this year alone). Scott should have just read more instead of being the stupid, little, rich, playboy that he was. Wonder what he would have lost by a divorce? His reputation?

Not all that much. Since they had a short marriage, he may not have even been stuck with any spousal support. Laci was a substitute teacher so the court would impute income to her anyway. Of course, he would have had to have paid some child support, but a decent family law attorney would have kept the amount reasonable.

Instead he's paying Mark Geragos NOW.

Peterson Defense to Subpoena Former Mistress

MODESTO, Calif. — In a stunning move, defense attorneys for accused murderer Scott Peterson (search) were reportedly planning to subpoena his former girlfriend to testify in the preliminary hearing, Fox News learned Friday.





The girlfriend, Amber Frey (search), has long been thought to be the cornerstone of the prosecution's case and damaging to the defense.

It's unclear why Peterson's lawyers want Frey, a 28-year-old massage therapist, to testify. There was much speculation that she would testify on behalf of the prosecution, but they decided not to call her.

Her lawyer, Gloria Allred (search), said prosecutors "obviously made a determination" they have presented enough evidence without Frey.

Legal analysts believe there's only a remote chance that the judge will allow the defense's subpoena to go through.

Frey has said she became involved with Peterson without knowing that he was married. She began cooperating with police shortly after she came forward with her story of their affair. She received hundreds of calls from Peterson even after his pregnant wife, Laci Peterson (search), disappeared. Many of them were taped via police wiretapping.

Legal pundits said the judge will decide if subpoena will be honored. Should he disagree, Geragos may take it to the Court of Appeals. Consensus is MG is grandstanding hoping to let everyone know they're prepared to discredit Frey and may not pursue it further.

Instead he's paying Mark Geragos NOW Correction -- the spoiled son is having his parents foot the bill.
