Seems to me that the only way to know if someone is rehabilitable or not is to attempt to rehabilitate them.
Sheesh...the liberals won't give up on sex offenders, and I bet more people have awakened from comas than have ever give up sex crimes.

The law requires a guardian ad litem. But Greer is stalling, waiting for Baird to strike down Terri's Law. Then the guardian ad litem will be out of the picture, and Greer can affirm his admiration for "loving husband" Michael R. Schiavo. Will the people of Pinellas Co. buy this in 2004? Killing Terri (and others earlier, we have learned) means everything to this sinister George W. Greer. Yet, I am sure he cloaks his death decrees in "love" and "compassion."

The Promise Keepers stay "out of politics." They might not want to get involved in this tragedy, but I would think that most on an individual basis would side with Terri's right to live. If not, they need to rethink their "promises."

He's elected isn't he? When's his term up?

"While creating new rights, our real rights are being taken away with impunity." "Those "new rights," are nothing more than pseudo-rights that are designed to conceal the true intent of the ones invoking them...which is, as you say, to rob us of true liberty.

Cindy, George W. Greer, if he runs again, faces a "Yes" or "No" plebiscite in November 2004. I don't know when Demers and Baird, both just as bad as Greer, face their next plebiscite.

"A Brooklyn, New York Orthodox Rabbi named Yehuda Levin, at the rally outside the courthouse in Clearwater, Florida, represented approximately 1200 North American Orthodox Rabbis in support of Terri Schiavo's right to live. Here are a few of his statements: "What happens here will have a profound effect on what happens to life and living in America."
"If death by electric chair is 'cruel and unusual punishment,' what is death by starvation? A party? A bar mitzvah?" "Terrorists will not get death by starvation, why Terri?"from article at groups.msn.com worth the read

Makes me wonder, as an ER Nurse, just what kinds of "things" Michael may "know" about the area Judiciary and/or their families? Stuff that good blackmail could be made of, perhaps??? This point has been heavy on mind lately. To me, it's the one thing that makes the least sense in this whole travesty of justice.
On the night of Terri's collapse we have the report that the ER staff was suspicious of Terri's neck injury. We have the report of the Pinellas County police going to Bob Schindler to ask him if he had ever had any cause to be suspicious of MS. We have this horrendous bone scan. We have another report of Bob Schindler saying there are a lot of unanswered questions about what really happened the night of Terri's "collapse". Yet we have Blind Judge Greer saying: "The court concludes that while it might be interesting to pursue the issue of trauma as it may have occurred almost 12 years ago, that has nothing to do with Theresa Marie Schiavo in 2002".
Before MS's access to Terri's money he was an absolute nobody. He was mostly unemployed and was living in the basement of the Schindler's home not long before Terri's "collapse". We have earlier reports of Terri complaining that MS was lazy. He sounds like a parasite and a bum, besides being a sociopathic philanderer.
After trying to find a puzzle piece that would explain why such an unpleasant little nobody could have Pinellas County police, judges and lawyers colluding to help him kill his wife, I can only find one thing that might make any sense.
I agree that MS seems to know where some bodies are buried, or something along those lines, that might be threatening to Important People in Pinellas County. I'm starting to wonder if MS was (maybe is) a drug dealer to the upper classes. He'd sure fit the profile.
Pinellas County Sheriff, Everett Rice, is (or was) on the Hospice board with George Felos. Former Pinellas County Deputy Sheriff, Scott Swope, was on the police force at the time of Terri's collapse. It's almost an "unbelievable" coincidence that Scott Swope later became an attorney and is now working for...Michael Schiavo.
What kind of prescription drugs could be obtained from a Hospice...morphine, Oxycontin, etc? I'm totally in the Twilight Zone and wearing a tinfoil hat, I know. But it's the only thing I can come up with that makes any sense. Especially if MS's money is either gone or too concealed now for him to pay his attorney. Felos claims to be working pro bono and the judges are still falling all over themselves to keep the skids greased for MS. It makes sense if there is something for them to fear from MS.

It's not because of people but the Lord. I am in awe that she went 6 days without water and has no kidney damage. Cindy , I KNOW God touched and held Terri in HIS Hands!!! I just know! When I heard that her kidneys had not been damaged, I knew that it was like God had gone into Terri's "Lion's Den " and closed the mouths of the monsters!!

"Under Natural Law doctrine -- that is the Creator's Law" Remove the Creator from the conscience of the nation, and the entire body of law built upon the foundation of that which is God-given becomes nothing more than scrap through which to rummage to pick and choose that which is suitable for the need of the moment, but is no longer relevant apart from its connection with the Creator and author of all law and justice.

The Promise Keepers stay "out of politics." The fundamental question of whether it's an obscene travesty to put Terri to death, transcends politics.

Can a mistrial be declared in civil matters? It seems this whole sorry affair has been a circus run by evil clowns. It looks like there would be grounds to start all over. I realize that in one respect, that is what Gov. Bush is trying to do by fighting to uphold Terri's Law and seeking to have the case heard in Tallahassee, but it still isn't the same as overturning the previous ruling.

I commented on 11/5 or 11/6, when Greer apparently was trying to appease the masses with his "ruling" against Michael, that it was just for show. Today's actions have borne that out. Sad.
Not to sound morose, but if the courts ultimately help Michael Schiavo kill his wife, you ought to post that article regarding the signs of Civil War II to the final thread. That would definitely be a BIG sign.

"What are the people of FL thinking with "their courts"? If the people of Florida were thinking, we wouldn't be having this discussion. If the people of Florida were thinking, we wouldn't have had a nearly 6 week long judicial circus to elect a president. If the people of Florida were thinking, they would know how to vote and would remove these arrogant SOB's from the bench.

I see a lot of threads popping with questions regarding Terri more and more which is good but I think we need to be careful too. It would be very easy for someone to "find" something that could be proved as false and wait for us to run with it, with the intent of making us look bad. You know what I mean?
