We have already discussed privately owned ships which were armed with cannons. That does not change the fact that cannons were VERY expensive, rare and owned only by militias and perhaps SOME very RICH individuals. Though I have seen no evidence of privately owned artillery on the land. Got some?

BTW - It is perfectly legal now to own a cannon, but why should a pesky thing like reality hamper your attempts to defend your positions?

I should clarify - you have pretty much established that not only do you not understand the Second Amendment, you have serious issues with the First as well.
