The only excuse I can see (in my muddled mind) is that he may have, by that point, realize that he could not continue to sustain the ruse of "golfing" on the day of her disappearance.

But the fact that he tolf Amy, and another person, tells me that he meant to use golfing as an excuse if he could.

Scott handed over the receipt.. There was a question about the date/time on the receipt from the Marina machine.

Pixley also commented that police were suppose to debunk they Laci walking her dog theary...Well seems to me they did cause they have proved she was sleeping in the bay with her clothes on from 23rd not what snott said she was wearing on 24th..he probably descibed his last beakfast and tv show that they watched together but that too was on 23rd not 24th JMO

I don't think he did hand over the receipt. Because the one policeman said "We didn't say HE gave us the receipt"!! So whatever that means.

Secretive Snott, couldn't sustain golfing because courses keep records. You have to sign in and pay to play on the course. He didn't have that going. It seems his hole motivation for fishing was for body disposal. He was hoping that her body would never be found. So fishing would have worked if her body never surfaced.
Geez, He should have just told everyone that he went fishing in his new boat...

I watched that too with Pixley and ground my teeth together. How stupid. Her purse and keys were hanging in her closet. Notice how Peterson puts out a "lie" about what she was wearing, and all these eyewitnesses come forward with her wearing what he said. Geragos would do well to leave these people out.

ya know tto I am thinking taht amber maybe did tape scott earlier than for police because she became suspicious of him....maybe the OMG OMG OMG is scotts own words saying I lost my wife..this will be the first Christmas without her...now that would be incriminating to hear him speak these words

Very true. But I think they don't have that statement on tape. BUT, they have another witness, Amber's best friend, that he told 3 days before he told Amber. In fact, he asked Amber's girlfriend to let him tell Amber that his wife had died. THAT STATEMENT is verified.!!

This guy didn't want anyone to KNOW he had a boat. He kept saying it was going to be a surprise. Right!! Laci got seasick and probably hated boats. NO, he bought this boat for ONE PURPOSE, the purpose for which it was used.

Scott may have been planning on doing away with Laci but the above still leads me to think the murder took place sooner than he was planning. I would have thought he would have waited until she went to bed then did the dirty deed.

I guess that's the one thing, we will never know for sure what happened, except that it must have happened shortly after her phone call with her Mom at 8:30. I wonder if he came up behind her and she never saw what was coming. He then had the whole night to carry out his plan. But it was a Plan. This was completely PRE-MEDITATED.

Actually fiesti it came out today that they found a fishing licence that he had purchased on Dec. 20 for the 23rd & 24th!! But of course, he was going golfing!! he PLANNED this for one of those two days. I guess something hurried him up.
