NAACP Chairman Julian Bond said over the weekend that he agreed with political cartoonist Aaron McGruder's characterization of National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice as "a murderer." Appearing with Bond on the television show "America's Black Forum," McGruder, whose cartoon strip "The Boondocks" has portrayed Rice as a spinster who takes out her personal frustrations by launching carpet bombing attacks on Iraq, explained his disdain for the highest ranking woman in U.S. government.
"I don't like Condoleezza Rice because she's part of this oil cabal that's now in the White House," McGruder said, as ABF hosts Armstrong Williams and Juan Williams looked on.
"I don't like her because she's a murderer," the cartoonist announced.
The charged drew immediate condemnation from Armstrong Williams, who complained, "That is totally out of line to say she's a murderer."
Unfazed, McGruder repeated the accusation, stretching out his words, "S-h-e'-s a m-u-r-d-e-r-e-r."
"Let's put aside the fact that she's affiliated with oil companies that murder people in Nigeria," the cartoonist said. "We can discuss just this illegal Iraq war, the slaughtering of innocent people and the fact that she's one of the big hawks of the administration.
"I don't see where this is even a point of contention," he insisted.
At that point cohost Juan Williams asked Mr. Bond if he supported McGruder's contention.
"I generally agree with his politics 100 percent and I think he explained himself well," the NAACP chief said.

How about that?
Condi convicted of murder, and she didn't even
get to try on the glove first to check the fit.

And what does that make Clinton with his Kosovo debacle. I recall citizens bombed on bridges. And they weren't terrorists.

Do black people really identify with this wacked out nonsense? I hope most of them see this as just wierd, but they do give up 90% + of their vote to the dems every election cycle.

McGruder does not want terrorists in Iraq to be caught. That's because McGruder is a bomb loving terrorist.

Remember that Bond defended the NAACP's 2000 campaign ad blaming GW for the dragging death of James Bird.

LIARS! They don't like Condi Rice because she is an Uncle Tom...a Clarence Thomas. She dared to be a highly successful, highly talented and highly intelligent, ambitious woman. These kinds of people tend to be conservative. No wonder Julian Bond speaks so highly of her...

I stopped reading McGruder's one-note comic strip long ago. He doesn't engage in real social commentary or raise interesting issues, all he does is make fun of people - particularly other blacks - that he doesn't like, and he does it in a juvenile manner.
And aren't there other African-American politicians that have been connected to Nigeria and other less than clean African regimes? Carol Moseley Braun, for example? How about Jesse and Reverend Al?
Why doesn't McGruder go after them more? Gee, I wonder......
And people stopped paying attention to Julian Bond years ago so I guess he's gotta get more shrill.
