The 101st Airborne Division's Tiger Force was among the most elite units in the Vietnam War, tasked with cleaning out the enemy in a string of villages in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. But according to an Army investigation, which the government kept secret for almost three decades, the mission turned into a seven-month-long mass murder.

This story has been around for some time. None of it really makes much sense and every version of it I've heard sounds contrived.
Just more of the same old 'discredit the military whenever possible' crap from the left.

Maybe the Army could reconstitute the Tiger Force and send them to Baghdad?

"I could get found not guilty on temporary insanity on any one of them, because there's no way you can be in that situation and not be temporarily insane . . ." Sounds like the quote of the decade (1965-1975) to me.

This is the same pile of crap that the Toledo Blade was pushing a few weeks ago. They claimed that the military had made a report, which was unavailable for some reason or another, that substantiated the killing of innocent Vietnamese by this unit.
The anti-war, blame America first crowd have been pushing this fantasy story for many years - if it was true it would have all come out years ago.

"Maybe the Army could reconstitute the Tiger Force and send them to Baghdad?"There's a much better use for 'em &, it wouldn't be so far away.
...how about ABC headquarters in downtown NYC.

I am catching the last few minutes of the show and Koppel is trying to associate our troops in Iraq with the atrocities committed by some of our forces in Vietnam.
He is emphatic that the Tiger unit was "given orders" to commit these atrocities in Vietnam and was taken aback when one of the guests countered that no one has seen the order and therefore cannot make that assertion - Koppel came back and said they "were an elite force sent in to the area to do this kind of action".
What a bastard. The liberals have really sunk to new lows on this one.
