While I greatly appreciate those that serve in our armed forces, it takes more than soldiers to make a country free. Even the worst dictatorships in history had soldiers.
The infringements of our liberty no longer come from foreign shores. They come from right here at home, and the fight for liberty is to be had at the ballot box.
And if any fool invades this country, I'll gladly give my all including my life if need be defending it. But I will never volunteer to play 'global policeman'. I respectfully decline military service until our foreign policy regains some sanity.

Wrong on that one.
We have to pay 60% in extortion fees to the federalis so that they may send teenage girls from West Virginia to fight secular desert republics. And we still have to do all the 'real defending' ourselves (God bless you, Todd Beamer.)
That's quite a hardship indeed.
