Well that makes sense Sandy. I somehow do NOT think this Judge will allow a mistrial. He has seen all the sealed evidence and the autopsy photo's. Can't even feature that there isn't a way around it. Maybe Geragos could view the relevant parts. I doubt the FBI would trust him tho. So NOW thanks to Geragos, the whole world knows that Peterson was under a DEA investigation. Oh, the "perfect" son huh? What a sick laugh Mr. LEE Peterson. Your son is about as unperfect as they get.

Oh no, I would never do that! I was only making reference to my very poor eyesight. I'm over 40, you know.

"So, the dining room does overlook the pool? Wonder why the mattress? Isn't that (the 3 windows) where it was?

Where in my posting did I ever say the dining room faced the pool?

Part of my posting:"As we discussed before, the house sits lengthways on the lot. North is where the (pool) and driveway are which is one side of the house.East is where the converted garage now living room face the street. The 2 bedrooms face west which is considered the backyard or back of the house. The master bedroom and the (dining room) are on the southside of the house."

I should have said the Dining Room faces South/East with the fireplace on the south wall (south side of house) and the 3 windows facing East towards the street (front of house) only they can't be seen from the street because of the bushes and fencing blocking the view from the street. Scott put those mattresses there because if someone came through the front gate up the walkway to the front door they could see into the dining room.

Interesting article from Modesto Bee,titled,"Amber Freys Role During Investigation Questioned".

LINK
http://www.modbee.com/reports/peterson/updates/story/7727137p-8629464c.html

5:15 p.m. PST: Scott Peterson’s girlfriend may have started taping their telephone conversations as soon as Dec. 16 - at least a week before his pregnant wife disappeared, courtroom drama revealed this afternoon.
Fresno massage therapist Amber Frey began cooperating with police Dec. 30. Modesto police Det. Al Brocchini testified that she said she didn’t tape her chats with Peterson before then. Defense attorney Kirk McAllister intimated that was “a lie,” and asked Brocchini if he had heard that she began recording Dec. 16. The detective said no.

Frey, who has yet to testify at Peterson’s preliminary hearing, has said she didn’t know he was married when they met Nov. 20. Brocchini last week testified that Peterson told her about Dec. 9 that he had “lost his wife.”

Brocchini said he gave Frey his tape recorder Dec. 30 and bought her equipment at a Radio Shack store so she could tape phone conversations. Investigators hoped Peterson would not realize she was cooperating with authorities, the detective said.

The 31-year-old fertilizer salesman is charged with murdering his pregnant wife, Laci, and their unborn son, Conner.

“(Peterson) wasn’t talking about Laci” in chats with Frey, Brocchini testified. “He was talking about himself,” including a trip he faked to Europe in late December, the detective said.

Authorities believe he murdered his wife Dec. 23 or 24. The bodies of mother and child were recovered in mid-April.

Brocchini said he and other detectives coached Frey on what to say to Peterson. Responding to questions from defense attorney Kirk McAllister, Brocchini acknowledged urging Frey to paint herself as a possible suspect, in the event Peterson would admit guilt to deflect blame from her.

McAllister asked Brocchini about another tack, with Frey suggesting to Peterson that “maybe there was an accident, something happened and you (Peterson) panicked.” The detective responded, “It could have happened. I don’t remember it.”

A state Department of Justice officer sat in on some strategy meetings, Brocchini said. He said she was “not a psychologist,” but he did not pin down her position and McAllister moved on.

Brocchini also acknowledged urging a friend of Scott Peterson’s to read false information in The Bee regarding an insurance policy on Laci Peterson. But the detective said he didn’t know the information was false at the time.

“You were trying to poison his mind against Scott Peterson,” McAllister charged.

A member of Laci Peterson’s family had provided the information to The Bee, saying Scott Peterson had taken out a $250,000 policy on his wife in the summer of 2002. In reality, he had obtained the policy in January 2001.

The detective said he questioned as many friends of both Petersons as he could find. McAllister asked if Brocchini was willing to lie to them, but Judge Al Girolami agreed with a prosecutor’s objection and the detective did not answer.

Brocchini also testified that he did not know whether a surveillance camera captured neighbor Kimberly Ann McGregor breaking into the Peterson’s Covena Ave. home Jan. 18. Sources have said she drank alcohol and took Laci Peterson’s wedding dress, though it was later returned. No charges have been filed.

The detective said the camera, mounted Jan. 3 on a pole across the street from the home, allowed detectives in a nearby van to see when Scott Peterson was leaving, alerting investigators to follow him.

"I heard on CNN this morning that there was a Grand Jury convened in FRESNO on this trial"

Yes, we read in the transcripts that it was a FederalGrand Jury.

Devil, I don't know much about Grand Juries, Federal or State, but I thought that I read somewhere that so many people are called to serve on a Grand Jury for so many months maybe even a year or more. Do those same Grand Jurors hear multiple cases?

The reason I ask is because I read a Federal Grand Jury in Fresno was on this case.

A federal grand jury looking into the Harper family murders Friends and family of Vincent Brothers subpoenaed
Bakersfeild, CA, Oct. 16 - A Federal Grand Jury in Fresno is investigating the murders of five members of the Harper family.

On CC Live today they said there was NO drug connection. The DEA was only called in by the Modesto police because they have the proper equipment and know how to set things up.
Just thought I would pass that along.
I had wondered if Scott had some involvement with drugs - I don't know how else he could have maintained his lifestyle.

Okay. I do think they found evidence on his computer of how to obtain GHB etc. and it has been suspected here that he lives WAYYYYY beyond his means. One of the ingredients in fertilizer, to which he had open access, is also an ingredient used to make Meth!! One things for sure, he was getting a LOT of cash from somewhere.

Hi C.O.
I'll catch the LKL episode at midnight. Do you get Foxnews? Hannity and Colmes was really good. They had about 5 pundits. Only the d.a. (Ann what's her name) was making the innane "rush to judgement" arguments.
Jack Levin was on as well, he's a forensic specialist I think, and he was very positive about the prosecutors's case.
They discussed several things, including Snott's (I love calling him that) question to the officer who was on the stand today, asking about "cadaver dogs", only a day or so after Laci was reported missing.
They also talked about the fact that Snott had told several people that he HATED the thought of being a dad. I had never heard that, anyone have any information on who he said this to?
They said to look for Amber's testimony on Friday.

I don't recall ever hearing that Snott SAID that he hated the thought of being a Dad but that does not mean he didn't say it. And no, I don't get FOX.!! The commies in Ottawa won't allow Fox in Canada. It makes me very ANGRY.
