Dancing with the Devil

"It is clear that the current approval ratings of the administration are tied directly to strong American feelings toward traditional values. To counter this, doubt must be raised as to America's true position within the world community and the true intent of the Bush administration in waging war." [From a Democrat "talking points memo" sent out to Democrat members of the Senate Intelligence Committee and others in an effort to undermine the President during a time of war.]

Sometimes I feel like I'm playing a broken record, or that I'm stuck in a rut when I talk about how desperate the Democrats are to get back into power in Washington. Over and over, they demonstrate (apparently just so I can comment upon it) how frantically they are pushing and manipulating in order to get themselves back into the White House.

For the last six months or so, there has been a lot of noise on both sides of the television screen about the "unfairness" of the charge by Conservatives that the major media outlets are biased in a way that not only reflects liberal Leftist opinions, but actively suppresses news that might be of benefit to Conservatives.

The other day, a memo came out of the Senate Intelligence Committee. It was supposed to be a confidential correspondence to the Democrats on that committee, but was leaked by someone who was offended and sickened at what the Democrat committee members were attempting to do. There is some talk that the memo is seditious, and this could probably be proved.

The problem is that the Republicans think everybody has a nice streak and that even Democrats can be reasoned with and buttered up when needed. Unfortunately, and much to the harm of the Republicans, this has never been the case. But they don't seem to be able to see it, and like eager puppies, they continue to roll onto their backs, to yip and whine when they should be snarling back with vigor and volume. So, it looks like the memo will eventually be swept under the rug with the rest of the filth that the Democrats have pulled out to use against the GOP in general and George W. Bush in particular, and which the Republican officials all dutifully ignore.

For the Democrats, the situation is dire, but not in the way you might think. They are not anxious about the state of the country or our military position in the Middle East. To them, the biggest concern now is to regain their lost power in any way they can. Not handicapped with the ethics and politeness that afflict the Republicans, they lie and snipe in the hope that something will adhere to the President and bring him down. So far, thanks to Bush's coolness under fire, the barbs have flamed out to cinders without doing any real damage. (I guess it pays to have a jet pilot as Commander-in-Chief.)

"The real war isn't in Iraq," one Democratic consultant said. "It's right here at home, at the ballot box in 2004."

For a long time now, the Democrats have been desperately attempting to regather the tatters of their power. On the other hand, the Republicans only have themselves to blame for not doing more to squelch the noise from the Left in any effective fashion, to stand up for George W. Bush and his nominees, or to prove the lies wrong.

But the appearance of this Democrats-only secret memo might (hopefully) be the last straw. Americans of good will are tired of the continual attacks, and have discovered that the Dem-friendly news outlets are not only not telling them the real story about the war, they are not reporting what is being attempted in Washington.

Thanks to the internet and news channels like FoxNews, more people than ever before are finally able to hear a more balanced report on events in the Middle East, and they are able to see for themselves the chicanery of the Leftists who are trying to push American politics even further to the left. Shows like Hannity and Colmes and O'Reilly Factor regularly bring Leftists on to let viewers see for themselves what sorts of individuals populate the ranks of the Left.

The repeated mantra of "appointed, not elected" is apparently the biggest gun they can haul out, but it is a pitiful popgun attempt to sabotage the President and undermine his authority. They appear never to have heard of the Electoral College, and insist that George W. Bush was "appointed" by the Supreme Court. Anyone with even a rudimentary education in Civics should know better.

Today's Republican politicians are not lily white or especially effective, but at least they're not deliberately trying to sabotage American policy abroad in a time of war or undermine the authority of the Commander-in-Chief.

The Democrats have never been called to account for their anti-American behavior, so they believe they can continue to do so without consequences. Perhaps there is someone they fear who presses for further effort against the President, someone for whom they are willing to sell their souls. I have a couple of suspicions as to who this individual might be, but I'll keep them to myself for now. But it appears that the Democrat operatives are completely willing to sell out the freedom of the United States for the opportunity to be in the driver's seat just one more time. It's rather sad to see such determined destroyers so pathetically bent on nothing more than their own glorification (and destruction) at the cost of all that American patriots have fought and died for over 250 years, just to occupy the Oval Office again.

Dancing with the devil, they are going far too fast but don't know how to stop without falling to their doom.

My Mom used to sing a song to me with those lyrics in it, probably in the early '50's. It could even be a 40's tune she knew. She died last year. Can anybody remember?

Oh, they know about it. They just don't want anyone else to know about it.

There was a creative computer virus in the 80s that placed a text box on your screen as it begins to destroy your computer.

Of course, the text box stated, "Have you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"

Out of the 20,000 computer viruses I have in my collection, about 10% of them still go undetected by computer virus detection software and this is one of them.

Greetings Lady.......oh, it is well known. However, the "unbiased" main media has decided that it is just "politics as usual". The sad part is, I'm not even trying to be cynical.
