[history]
November 10, 2003 -- The Yemeni owner of a tiny Brooklyn ice-cream shop that took in an astonishing $20 million in six years is suspected of funneling millions to an al Qaeda-linked sheik.
Agents, acting on a tip, learned that $20 million passed through the bank accounts of Abad Elfgeeh's tiny Park Slope shop, Carnival French Ice Cream, between 1997 and early 2003.

"Elfgeeh's lawyer, Dawn Carti, accuses the government of having "a vendetta" against her client."
This is the best she can come up with? Someone needs a new lawyer.

That store front just screams "Quality Ice Cream!"
I can definitely see customers spending $20,000,000 there.

It's not the ice cream. It's the very expensive handmade cones that'd allow this ice cream shop to run $20 mil through its accounts.

Oh hey, I know that place! I used to go there for their delicious Jihad Julius, although most people went for the Martyr Mocha or the Shahid Sherbet. They also had a delicious date cake they marketed as the Allah Ack-Bar(tm) to the health food stores in the Village.
Pricey joint, though. I never seemed to be able to get out of there without spending a few thousand riyals...
