It's a grudge that's been building for two years.

In a legislative version of "Survivor," Republicans and Democrats will square off Wednesday in an all-night Senate talkathon on who's to blame for some of President Bush's political nominees not making it to the federal appeals bench.

I agree. It's a farce... and actually, pathetic... I'd be ashamed to be these people. They produce NOTHING for the economy. Then again, they are a DRAIN on the economy. I'd cut their salary to $1.00 (one dollar), with zero benefits, and then ask them how they want to "serve" the American people. Hypocrites all... well most.

When they decide to have a "real" fillibuster (i.e., no one leaves until someone quits), I'm not interested.

I admire Senator Santorum and I hope that they have a few tricks up their sleeves, but this "planned" filibuster is a joke. Thirty hours? PPPPUUUUHHHHLLEEEEAAASSSEEEE! When I was finishing my MBA (and raising 2 kids [1 an infant], working fulltime, etc.), I regularly would stay up for 2 or three days. And I didn't have 40 of my "homies" to give me a break every once and a while.

I do appreciate that they are trying to get the mainstream media to actually pay attention to the issue because the media, while cover the story regularly, uses inaccurate terminology, which, of course, favors the liberal, demoCREEP, hate-America Senators (Hitlery, Scumer, Dasshole, etc.). Disgustingly, the coverage has always made off like these demoCREEPs are doing something noble, rather than shredding the Constitution. The news pukes (with the notable and frequent exception of FOX NEWS) always seems to classify or convey that these nominated judges are "extreme" or "right-wing Judge so-and-so". It is totally BS.
