What a farce! The two-party cabal having a "group-grope".
Dust off your pom-poms groupies and start practicing your "slogans"... :/

What a farce! The two-party cabal having a "group-grope". I agree. It's a farce... and actually, pathetic... I'd be ashamed to be these people. They produce NOTHING for the economy. Then again, they are a DRAIN on the economy. I'd cut their salary to $1.00 (one dollar), with zero benefits, and then ask them how they want to "serve" the American people. Hypocrites all... well most.

This is nothing like the 74 hour DEMOCRAT filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

The record for the longest individual speech goes to South Carolina's J. Strom Thurmond who filibustered for 24 hours and 18 minutes against the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
Bunch of girly men. The senate used to have REAL senators.....

"All of this probably matters to 500 people: 100 senators, their staffers, and the 50 reporters who cover us, and no one else," joked Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. I assume that everyone has emailed Chuck regarding this.

What Republicans. What losers. What whimps. Thirty hours.
What if the US Army goig into Iraq had said: "We'll fight for 30 hours and then go home"?

When they decide to have a "real" fillibuster (i.e., no one leaves until someone quits), I'm not interested.
I admire Senator Santorum and I hope that they have a few tricks up their sleeves, but this "planned" filibuster is a joke. Thirty hours? PPPPUUUUHHHHLLEEEEAAASSSEEEE! When I was finishing my MBA (and raising 2 kids [1 an infant], working fulltime, etc.), I regularly would stay up for 2 or three days. And I didn't have 40 of my "homies" to give me a break every once and a while.
I do appreciate that they are trying to get the mainstream media to actually pay attention to the issue because the media, while cover the story regularly, uses inaccurate terminology, which, of course, favors the liberal, demoCREEP, hate-America Senators (Hitlery, Scumer, Dasshole, etc.). Disgustingly, the coverage has always made off like these demoCREEPs are doing something noble, rather than shredding the Constitution. The news pukes (with the notable and frequent exception of FOX NEWS) always seems to classify or convey that these nominated judges are "extreme" or "right-wing Judge so-and-so". It is totally BS.

He knows full well that his party's borking of Charles Pickering played a major role in the GOP's victory in the Mississippi gubernatorial race. And Southerners are not going to have forgotten about Pickering by next November, either.

Because Senate rules require agreement from both sides to quickly confirm a nominee QUICKLY???
The dimwit who wrote this article doesn't know enough grammar not to split an infinitive, let alone know the definition of "quickly."
