Four Dead In Murder-Suicide
Tucson Police say a father shot and killed his wife and two young children before turning the gun on himself Sunday. Investigators say he also shot another man, who survived. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police say the survivor had some sort of relationship with the wife.
The bodies were found in a home on South Quinn near Davis-Monthan Air Force Base about 1pm, when the mother of one of the adults went to the home, concerned because the family had not shown up for church. Neighbors say she ran from the home screaming.
According to neighbors, an argument had broken out at the home the night before. The argument spilled out into the street, but family members eventually went back inside. Police say there were no reports of any gunshots fired before the bodies were discovered the next day.
"I thought I would have to defuse a fight," says Ricco Allen, a neighbor who was an eyewitness to the murder scene. "I didn't go in and expect to find a house full of dead people."
No names had been released as of early Sunday evening. Investigators say the dead children were a 7- year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy.
