Lobotomies for Republicans...It's the Law!"-Wells College strikes back against "stupid" Republicans

Responding to a study showing a gross imbalance of Democrats over Republicans on the faculty of Wells College, located in Aurora, NY, a Wells professor distributed a campus-wide email calling for Republicans to be forcibly lobotomized and labeling Republicans stupid.
On Thursday, November 6, the Wells Republicans issued a press release describing the study they had conducted of the political party registrations of the members of the social sciences and humanities faculties at the college. The study revealed that members of parties of the Left (Democrats, Greens, Working Families) outnumbered members of parties of the Right (Republicans and Conservatives) by a ratio of 92 percent to 8 percent. The online FrontPage Magazine promptly picked up the story.
Responding to the press release and study, Wells Professor Tom Vawter sent an email to all members of the Wells community calling Republicans stupid. He closed his email with this quote: Lobotomies for Republicans: It's not just a good idea; its the Law! --Yellow Dog.
Wells Republican Chairman Kristy Lee Hochenberger, a junior from Syracuse, NY, responded to Vawters comments: We are outraged by Professor Vawters comments. Calling Republicans 'stupid' is wrong and misguided. Calling for all Republicans to be forcibly lobotomized is frightening, said Hochenberger.
A conservative professor saying a similar thing would be gone. If a professor made an analogous comment in response to a press release from a liberal womens group, he would be out of a job by sundown. Cries of hate crime, threats of violence, and misogyny would echo through the land. Feminist and liberal leaders would be flying into Aurora from around the country to support the beleaguered students and call for the punishment of the professor. The national media would focus on the story.
Added Hochenberger: In yesterdays press release, we cited the experience of a number of Wells students who are reluctant to express their Republican or conservative views, given the intimidating atmosphere that some of the liberal professors on the faculty have created. Prof. Vawter has unwittingly given a perfect illustration of the kind of intolerant, intimidating attitudes that the Republican students described in yesterdays press release.
Concluded Hochenberger: We call on the Wells College administration, and in particular Wells College President Lisa Marsh Ryerson, to condemn Prof. Vawters intemperate language and to take measures to ensure that Republicans at Wells will be free to express themselves without fear of this kind of hateful and threatening response.

Good for Kristy Lee Hochenberger! Someone should try to get her booked on O'Reilly, Neal Boortz, or H&C. And the university should be contacted by alumni to let them know how this professor is tainting their image.

Whew, my daughter had Wells College on her list of schools to consider. It was one of the top three.
I sure am glad she picked Grove City instead!

Thery are thinking that lobotomizing a Republican would turn him into a Democrat.
Lets face it, a pre-frontal lobotomy could make a liberal out of anyone.

LOL! Captain Norm, you've nailed it! Only a lobotomy could turn smart Republicans into mindless Dems! And this professor was too stupid even to realize the consequences of what he was saying! (Is it me, or are "they" getting dumber as they get more desperate?)

Excuse me? A so-called intelligentsia replys to a study with this childish rant? The left is infantile. Flinging ad hominems instead of discussion is all they have left.

Kinda like they used to commit non-communists to mental wards in the old USSR.
The increase in liberal hysteria is to the point where an actual Civil War is increasingly certain.

Berkeley perhaps??
My sister and her husband both graduated GCC in the 70's. I thought it was a fine school. I dated a gal who went to Wells (Suzie M.) when it was a fine women's school that used to hook up w/ Cornell and other Central NY colleges.
If I were to guess it has fallen on harder and more competitive times. I am wondering whether in the new millennia all women's colleges are not lesbian experimental laboratories as well. Shame

We were delighted with GCC. Our daughter was accepted at several of the top ivies, but wanted a "safe" college environment, where she wouldn't have to cope with guys sleeping with a roommate, forcing her to go to library at night to study, didn't want to deal with drunken brawls, drugs, etc...
Grove City drove her nuts at times, couldn't walk on the grass, etc.. and she felt "over-protected" at times, but the education was way beyond what she would have gotten at the ivies, and we would highly recommend it to any who are looking for a sensible education at the college level.

I sent an email to Professor Vawter:
Dear Professor Vawter: I just read about your comments and would like to say thank you for exposing the means to turn someones thinking from a Republican to a Democrat. Who knew, before your remarks, that lobotomizing the brains of Republicans would leave them with only half a brain, and therefore, with the vestigial ability to follow only Democrats? By your brave remarks, you have proved that Republicans use their brains in making decisions in the political process while leftists must resort to emotional outcry.
Again, thank you! Signed, xxxxxxx
(Oh, this can be SUCH fun!)
