Hiya crimewatch,

Can you find out what size they need to correspond with their flagpole?

We too at the Foxhole were disappointed that you didn't recieve a better response, especially for the letters to the school children, such a simple task.

I try to make excuses, people are too busy or forgot or missed the post, but I'm afraid it must be apathy. Once posted on VetsCoR which is not out in the general forum, threads have a limited audience.

SAM posted a duplicate on the general thread and still nothing. I am grateful for the two additional freepers from the foxhole that wrote letters in addition to mine and SAMs.

We received nice letters back from the childrens teacher but I was embarrassed we were not able to garner up more support than that.

We will see what we can do about a flag replacement. We will ping you to any posts we make specifically for the FReeper Foxhole.

Thank you for all the work you do at Patriot Watch to educate our children about veterans.

Thanks. I got fed up early last week. Seems the "special" election we just had here in SEP wasn't enough. The county had a bond election this past Tuesday. Almost zero publicity. Turnout was a whopping 2.88%. Oh by the way, it was a bond election $229 million more of my tax dollars soon to be at work. GGRRRRR.

What impressed me most was how they reacted when one of the teachers told them that the proper way to dispose of a damaged old flag was to burn it*.  I saw one kid's eyes tear up.  That tells me that we have an opportunity here with some kids who went out of their way to pay tribute to our veterans this weekend.  Can anyone help us get Howe Elementary School a new flag?

Thanks for the post, crimewatch - and your efforts SAM and snippy. I'm sorry the FoxHole is hidden. We need it. This is going to be a long war and too many Americana don't know someone serving, don't have any sense of history or who paid for their freedom.

Lurkers could learn a lot from the daily FoxHole threads.
