I am not a biblical scholar so I cannot presume the context these refer to.

But I don't know that we have moved well beyond this as Christians.

Islam has not advanced in any human or Godly endeavors nor has its practitioners.

I hate to pick nits but you are quoting mostly Old Testament (ie. pre-Christian) stuff. And the two exceptions actually seem to be addressing slaves themselves, and not slave owners.
