Never any adult child situations without a second adult or child present too. That's a good policy. We have a similar policy when working with kids at church, which accomplishes at least two tasks. One, it helps to prevent any inappropriate action and two, it helps to prevent false accusations. This may sound strange to some folks, but I won't be in a house alone with another woman that's not my wife or not related to me, for some of the same two reasons above.

Yes, I like the policy too. We used it in the Boy Scouts very successfully. In fact the Boy Scouts had the policy long before circumstances led to the City adopting the same policy. In every group that worked with kids, at least one of us had to have this training from the city. Every leader in the Boy Scouts took the training each year.
