BLAST ROCKS SAUDI CAPITAL

A powerful blast has been heard near the Saudi capital's diplomatic quarter.

It is not yet known whether there are any casualties or what caused the explosion in the southwest of Riyadh.

Earlier, the US warned of possibly imminent terror attacks in Saudi Arabia.

Thirty-five people died in triple suicide bombings against residential compounds in Riyadh on May 12.

New Info out of Saudi Arabia...blast indeed heard near the diplomatic center of Saudi Arabia just before midnight... smoke can be seen rising from the area of the blast, police cars headed to the area... still not clear what caused this blast which shook the windows of the capital just after midnight.

I've been following all the threads about the whole Ramadan double eclipse and the muslim evacuation warning for NYC, DC and LA for the last week or so and I have to say that I usually view the stuff with a jaundiced eye. But this time seems different. It's like the week or so before hurricane Isabel hit. I live in VA Beach, VA and we've gone through a hundred warnings in the last 30 years with no real hits...eventually you stop paying attention to the warnings. But Isabel was different...everyone just seemed to know that this one was going to hurt. I had a knot in my stomache for a week before the storm. I've got that same knot in my stomache now. I hope I'm wrong, but I've got a real bad feeling about the next 2 weeks or so.
