Contact your own senators but take an extra minute to contact the biggest obstructionist of them all...Mrs. Clinton. It might also help to terminate her poised run for the White House.

Hillary R. Clinton
US Senate
476 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

Phone: (202) 224-4451
Fax: (202) 228-0282
Scheduling Requests Fax: (202) 228-0121

Like her failed impeached husband, she represents only democrats – not America and Americans! Let her know we’re out here and we don’t like her or her tactics one bit.

Just sent the following to my two socialist senators, one who happens to be running for president.

Senator Christopher Dodd
Senator Joseph Lieberman

Dear Senator:

I am and have been outraged at the use of your party's extra-constitutional methods to block certain judicial appointees of President Bush. I am aware that in the past, nominees have been blocked in committee along party lines, and that has been a recognized part of the majority's prerogative. But, once out of committee, the nominees have always gotten an up-and-down vote on the floor.

However, the practice of using the filibuster is unprecedented and gravely wounds the 'advise and consent' process. By requiring a super-majority, you are thwarting the will of the people who chose the president and gave the Senate majority to the Republican Party.

I will be coming to Washington on Wednesday to observe the special 30-hour session called by Majority Leader Frist. I will watch closely from the Gallery, noting especially whether you will continue to support your party's blatant, partisan obstruction or whether you will honor your oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Is there any info on what time the gallery will open for the special session, or will it simply stay open? I thought the gallery was still closed except to groups.

I'm hoping to see you too.

You maybe correct... I was just curious if you had something calling it a filibuster rather than a 'talkathon' as they called it.
WASHINGTON — Weary of Senate Democrats' continued efforts to block President Bush's judicial nominees, Republicans have planned a 30-hour, all-night session Wednesday to force a marathon debate about Democratic stalling tactics that have left several nominations in limbo.

The talkathon, supported by the entire 51-member GOP caucus, would freeze the business of the Senate, preventing further work on the nine unfinished fiscal year 2004 spending bills, a comprehensive energy measure and Medicare legislation. It also endangers the target recess date of Nov. 21.

-------------

A brewing rebellion by conservative activists has prompted Senate Republican leaders to plan to devote at least 30 straight hours of debate next week to their bid to confirm a handful of judicial nominees being blocked by Democrats. The Republicans are bringing in food and cots for the "Justice for Judges Marathon," scheduled for Wednesday night through Friday morning.

What you can do to help:
Frist Hopes to Change Filibuster Rules
by Keith Peters, Washington, D.C., correspondent

Senate majority leader wants to lower the number of votes needed to stop Democratic blockade of President Bush's judicial nominees.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist has had enough of his Democratic colleagues filibustering conservative judicial nominees — so he has plans to make breaking those filibusters easier.

Frist wants to do it by changing Senate rules governing the number of votes needed to override a filibuster. His attempt to do it through a Senate resolution is co-sponsored by Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga.

"It would end the filibuster as applied to the president's nominations," explained Manuel Miranda, a Frist aide. "On the first vote there would be the 60 votes that we have now, and then it would escalate downward so that at the end . . . a simple majority would be able to do what the Constitution calls upon senators to do — have an honest, fair up-or-down vote."

Attorney Deanna Mool of the Republican National Lawyers Association said Democrats have applied a litmus test to judicial nominees by blocking Miguel Estrada, Priscilla Owen and Bill Pryor.

"If the Democrats don't like the view of the appointee on certain issues, they just say, 'You know what? We're not going to allow a vote on this guy or woman and we don't have to seat them.' It's just wrong."

Miranda said he thinks most people understand how wrong it is, which is why he predicts success for the Republicans.

"I think the American people are becoming very aware and sensitized to the issue of the judiciary, the importance of the judiciary and how bad it can be when the judiciary goes awry," he said.

1. CONTACT YOUR SENATORS- Send emails, make phone calls and send faxes. Tell the Republicans you support the fillibuster and Frist-Miller. Tell the Democrats TO STOP THE OBSTRUCTION!

2. CONTACT THE MEDIA- Write letters to the editor at your local newspapers urging the Democrats to TO STOP OBSTRUCTING BUSH'S JUDICIAL NOMINEES!

3. GATHER A GROUP OF PEOPLE AND GO TO YOUR SENATORS OFFICE- Tell them you support the filibuster

4. ATTEND THE FILIBUSTER! CONTACT ME ABOUT GETTING IN. GO AND SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE REPUBLICAN SENATE, BRING COOKIES FOR THEM! THERE WILL BE PRESS CONFERENCES STARTING WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND ALL DAY THURSDAY. TALK RADIO WILL BE BROADCASTING FROM THE SENATE AND RADIO FREE REPUBLIC WILL BE THERE, INTERVIEWING!
