[history]
A state senator announced plans Friday to introduce a pair of tax measures related to the devastating fires in Southern California, including a temporary sales tax increase.
One measure proposed by Sen. Nell Soto, D-Pomona, would increase sales and use taxes statewide by a quarter-cent for one year to create a fund to pay for damaged public infrastructure and fire-prevention measures, according to a press release.

The bleeding heart liberals never seem to feel sorry for taxpayers. They can find reasons to support the downtrodden with other folk's dollars, but they never worry about those folks and their tax burden.

"There are no unmet needs of the victims of this fire,"So what's with this knee-jerk legislator anyway?
We all know what it is... These liberal tax suckers run to a microphone with some self-serving announcement that as a full-time career tax sucker, he is trying to justify his existance and tax paid salary!
Thanks a whole bunch, Jesse Unruh! We didn't really need this crap in the first place. Part-time legislators were plenty good enough!!!
