Thanks sol2000! I don't recall Nancy dressing up and doing a skit like this. IF it had happened, the press would have broadcast it far and wide for a month afterward.

Actually, she did do this skit. It was one of the few successes she had with the Washington press establishment, and was done either at the White House correspondents' dinner or the Gridiron...I forget which.
HOWEVER, the script calls for shots of the homeless in DC cut in between scenes of the skit, which of course makes her look cold and callous.
The entire script is a juvenile cartoon of the Reagans, as seen through the lens of the loony left.
By the way, Barbra Streisand recorded "Secondhand Rose."

Nancy did dress like a bag lady and do this song. It is in her book, and it was funny as heck.
