Is this trend really bad? What if the Sauer family named their son Sigfried? His nickname would be fine with me.

Isn't the German spelling of "Walter" "Walther"?

The thing that really gets on our nerves is when the students get MAD because we don't know how to pronounce the name their mother invented....
