Stupid people give their children stupid names. There is a radio station in Memphis that gives a bad baby name of the day. You should see some of the names.

There was a neighborhood kid who's name was Joe Fag. I remember his insistance that it meant "cigarette" after the English slang term.
He once came at me with a hatchet in a fight over a girl. (In the true spirit of discretion over valor, I ran like hell!).
Joe obviously had great issues than a mis-identification with smoking materials.

the old cowboy star Clu Gullagher is a member of our tribe. his name is really Clu-clu, which is redbird in tslagi.

i once heard him say that he was named after the first thing his mother saw after she gave birth.

he said he was really glad that she didn't look out the window & see the outhouse!

There's a tradition in my extended family to name a first-born boy after ggg grandfather Nimrod William Ezekiel Long.

My husband declared, "NO son of mine is going to be named Nimrod!" "Not even as a middle name?" I inquired meekly. Rumblings from the male parental unit . . .

Fortunately our first-born is a girl. But I have FOUR (count 'em, FOUR!) cousins named Nimrod . . .

btw, as a part of my job i call many customers of our firm.

the other night i called the residence of Mohammed A. Mohammed. i asked for Mr Mohammed. the lady asked me, which one?

i said Mohammed A. Mohammed & she said, which one?

they had THREE (3) men named Mohammed A. Mohammed living at that house = 1st cousins!

well, i thought that would never happen again, BUT friday night i called the residence of Jesus de la Garza & asked for Jesus de la Garza. wouldn't you know, the man who answered the phone asked: which Jesus do you want???? THREE again!
