Walter Williams and David Limbaugh.
12:15PM ET BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
WILLIAMS: We're going to get Dave Limbaugh and he's going to give us an update on Rush. Welcome, Dave.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Walter, how are you?
WILLIAMS: Okay. It's good to hear from you.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: I haven't seen you since you graced our city of Cape Girardeau with your presence a few years ago. You remember that?
WILLIAMS: Oh, yeah, and all the women that were following me.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: All the women, and you were talking about your boxing prowess.
WILLIAMS: Yeah. And also basketball prowess, because, you know, these guys that are sitting with me, they know about my basketball prowess.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Well, you need to tell the audience about the boxing later, but I won't bore them with my knowledge.
WILLIAMS: So how's Rush doing?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: He's doing real well. I have a little update here. Nothing major, nothing earth-shaking, but I will tell you the good news keeps pouring in, he's really making significant strides and is continuing to learn a great deal and truly believes he is profiting immeasurably from the experience.
WILLIAMS: Well, that's good.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Yeah. He really does. He just reiterates that every time I talk to him, he says that the treatment really works. He's indeed letting it work, and he's working at it, but it's not easy, and of course few things worthwhile are completely easy. But things are looking very good, he's continuing to make progress.
WILLIAMS: By the way, Dave, who is the older brother?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: He's the older brother.
WILLIAMS: Okay. Okay.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Can't you tell with the deference in my voice?
WILLIAMS: I kind of noticed that.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: He understands, you know, when he gets out, he's going to have to continue to fight this thing. It's one of those deals, and he's realistic about it. He's fully equipped to do it, and he's now looking forward to getting out. You know, he's way past the halfway point.
WILLIAMS: Yeah.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: He's getting to be a short time, and while his mind is still focused on the treatment he's also given a lot of thought to his return, and he's very excited about it, he's anxious to renew his dialogue with the EIB family, and he can tell the audience then firsthand about how he feels about all this and of course what he thinks about world events and how Walter is probably wrong about disagreeing with him on the show.
WILLIAMS: He hasn't turned into a liberal yet, has he?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Well, you know, it's interesting to say that, he told me to reiterate to the audience, kind of tongue-in-cheek, kind of not, maybe he protested too much, Walter, but he said "I am not a liberal."
WILLIAMS: Well, we're going to hold his feet to the fire.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Oh, absolutely. No, it's not possible for him to be a liberal but it is kind of funny that he reiterated it again. Did I say that I went to public school? Anyway, in his words, he couldn't wait get back to you my friends.
WILLIAMS: Oh, great.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: That was a quote.
WILLIAMS: Great.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: The audience that has meant so much to him through the years and that has stood by him so steadfastly through this difficult period and he can't begin to tell you guys and girls how much your prayers of support have meant and will continue to mean, and through all of this, though he's learned a lot about himself and it's been great for him, he's still at core the same person. Not only is he not a liberal but he's still got the same personality, same passion for life and politics and world events, and, of course, for his work and the audience.
WILLIAMS: You know, when you talk to him again, David, give him all of our regards and our heartfelt wishes.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: I will and I appreciate you and the other guest hosts doing such a great job. You're always a fascinating guy, you've always got such an interesting take on things.
WILLIAMS: By the way, how's your book doing?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Real well. It's made The New York Times list five weeks. It's not enough.
WILLIAMS: Oh, my goodness. I understand you're kind of under attack a little bit?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Yeah, that's good, though. I wish they'd attack me as much as they attacked Ann Coulter, rock to number 1.
WILLIAMS: She's a tough chick, isn't she?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Yeah, she's great, but you can't mention my book without saying the name of it. Of course, I would not want to plug.
WILLIAMS: Okay, what's the name of your book?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianity. I would never have brought that up.
WILLIAMS: Well, as long as you don't bring up the name of my book.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: What is it?
WILLIAMS: Well, the name of my book is More Liberty Means Less Government.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Well, isn't that the truth? But just under gird it with Judeo-Christian traditions, we'll have a debate about that sometime.
WILLIAMS: If we have a debate you know who's going to win?
DAVID LIMBAUGH: I know I'm not. You're a professor, you're a doctor. I don't have a chance. But anyway, really great talking to you and Rush is going to be back soon, he's going to hit the ground running and he's going to have a renewed passion I'm excited about it he's excited about it and the days are short, he's coming back, and thanks for letting me get back on and share that with the audience.
WILLIAMS: Not to mention plugging your book.
DAVID LIMBAUGH: Absolutely, which I wasn't going to say anything, you had to bring it up, make me look bad.
WILLIAMS: Okay, David.

David is a great author and lawyer. But, he has not a mutimillion contract.
Also, he is a younger brother.
