Anyone watching C-Span? Kerry is doing a meet and greet somewhere and a young lady asked him what he thinks about the Eddie Eagle program in schools. He said he didn't know much about it and she explained that it was a program to teach children gun safety.
He asked whether it was a mandatory program and she said no, that it was a program that schools could use to teach gun safety. He said it was a good idea, he supports it!
How about that? It's on C-span now. (8:23 PM)

I bet it's a "Guns are bad" indoctrination program, not a safety program at all. Just a guess, though.

Heh-heh.
It's sponsored by the EEEE-vil, Wicked National Rifle Association.
Soon as Kerry hears that, he'll back right off. Fun to watch him squirm.

"I bet it's a "Guns are bad" indoctrination program, not a safety program at all. Just a guess, though." Since it originated with the NRA, I think not.
I also think Kerry doesn't know who originated it, either, as I think if he knew the NRA was involved, he would probably have a stroke.

Since it originated with the NRA, I think not. I stand corrected. I've just heard about so many indoctination programs that I made a false assumption. Heck, I'm usually right when I assume the worst. :^)

It's an NRA program. Yes I know, that's what makes it so funny.

Eddie the Eagle was developed by the NRA. I think it provides a simple beginning for safety. It provides simple rules, suitable for very little children.
If you see a gun,
1. Stop
2. Don't touch it.
3. Leave the area
4. Call an adult.
A. it works. I used it to teach my children and lo! I left my unloaded and dissasembled gun on the bed when I went to the bathroom, and my son, looking for me found it. He came and got me.
I didn't know he could work the bedroom doorknob. He had just learned that morning when I was at the range.
It also keeps the children from fingerpoken and knobben turnen.

I bet it's a "Guns are bad" indoctrination program, not a safety program at all. Just a guess, though. The Eddie Eagle program is the NRA's highly-acclaimed firearm safety program for schools. See the details here on their website.
I'd be willing to bet big money that Ketchup-Boy Kerry has NO idea that this is sponsored by the NRA. Watch him backtrack BIGTIME if/when he finds out!

Knowing the gun grabbing Kerry, I doubt he knows what it is.

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear in my post that Kerry said he supports an NRA Gun Safety program for children, I was in a rush to post. ;)

He's fighting with Dean over the Vermont and New Hampshire hunters' vote. If by some remote chance he ever got elected, he would back off this in a hurry.

Yeah, but it was Kerry being stupid, which is way funny.
Wonder exactly what lies he's going to tell to squirm out of this one!
I used Eddie Eagle on my kids. It worked for my little girl, but not for my little boy, who is a hellion and can wreck a junkyard with a rubber hammer. (Fortunately he is also the luckiest kid breathing.) We keep everything under lock and key.
