"They used me as a way to symbolize all this stuff," Lynch said in an interview with Diane Sawyer that airs Tuesday, Veterans Day. "Yeah, it's wrong," Lynch said. "I don't know why they filmed it, or why they say the things" they said.

So, dearest Jessica, you and your family have not benefitted financially from any of this?? Is that right?

With all due respect and gratitude for your service, PFC Lynch, shut the h*$% up!

In fairness, this was posted in the NY Daily News, which I think we can both agree is decidedly not a bastion of fair and balanced news.

She is being honest. Do you expect her to lie and take another one for the team?

Her company got lost, her humvee got hit by an RPG, and she crashed into another vehicle, breaking her legs, and her back, she tried to fire her weapon, it was jammed. She wakes up 3 hours later in excruciating pain, and she is being treated by civilian hospital workers who treat her compassionately. She gets rescued, and they videotape it. She finds out her best friend died, people are claiming that she did a rambo, was shot and stabbed, and that a guy she can't recall meeting in the hospital claims that she was being tortured in the hospital.

What do you expect from her? To pretend she is Rambo? To pretend that after suffering, that she thought it was a neat idea for her privacy to be violated by tv cameras being hooked up to Rangers so her rescue could be used for war propaganda? Yeah, she is just an ungrateful little witch.

couldn't have said it better! I'm sorry it happened, glad she survived, and hope she lives a long, happy life, but I've heard enough about her. Yeah the army used her but she was the one who first used the army. She enlisted for the benefits, never fully considering the payment that the army could demand someday.

So, in your opinion, it's ok for the Government to lie to it's citizens as long as someone benefits financially.

What I am about to write will not set well with some, so I am sorry. But, like it or not soldiers are assets, expendable asets. I knew this when I enlisted when I was 17. The military will use you for whatever purpose it sees fit. You have to know that when you take the oath.

If you can't stand to hear the truth- that the military wildly exaggerated this incident for propaganda purposes- then I suggest you cover your ears and say- nananananananana- that should block it out.

Some people are happy to be told comfortable lies, I'm not

Jessica Lynch should be given credit for her honestly and humility.

My thoughts exactly. She wouldn't have gotten the big book deal if the "truth" had been spoken at the time. Real convient on her part to trash the army after her book came out.

Careful, what's she saying is that she is not the rambo, that we were told following her rescue. Frankly all that jessica shot her gun, so women should be in combat crap was annoying to say the least. Jessica is more or less saying that she's not a combat soldier.
