With ear protection, eye protection, and good safety instruction most people soon enjoy shooting. I have never lost my $10.00. I used to tell anti's that I'd give them $10.00 if they'd spend 1 hour with me at the range. If after doing everything I instructed, (concerning shooting), they could sincerely tell me it wasn't fun.

Commies love guns, their guns.

How else could they have killed 100,000,000 + so efficiently in less than 100 years.

Oh, starvations, beatings, ovens, the usual methods. Guns were only a small part. Too inefficient for mass murder by government.

When you have gained power via the media, politicians or feel that you have gained power, that is when you want to start disarming those who would oppose you before they wake to the fact that there has been a change. We now have a Supreme Court justice openly admitting that they consider the laws of other countries in deciding Constitutional matters and we wonder why some want to disarm us.

You are correct. A lot have died in the "name" of gun control.

The only "gun control" that I enjoy is in both hands just before I pull the trigger.

My mama was a champion intercollegiate marksman. She taught me how to shoot. My wife was anti-gun when I met her. She has changed.

The gun club I belong to, Shongum in Hackettstown (northwestern New Jersey), holds a Ladies' Night on the final Wednesday of each month. Any woman is welcome and we will provide the handgun, ammo and instruction. Even a newbie man is welcome, as long as there is enough room on the line. It seems that every woman enjoys herself and afterwards hold their bullet hole-ridden paper targets up proudly. Anyone interested in attending can freep mail me and I will provide further information.

Of course, we are encouraged to bring family and friends as guests any time.

The frog in the pot analogy comes to mind.

We now have a Supreme Court justice openly admitting that they consider the laws of other countries in deciding Constitutional matters and we wonder why some want to disarm us.

Using a foreign law as a precedent was simply a justification for doing what he wanted to do to begin with. One hundred other countries might have very different laws but he ignored them because they didn't suit his agenda.

I have argued for years that you can't separate the welfare state from gun control. At one time self-reliance was both a virtue and a necessity. Self-protection is the ultimate form of self-reliance. Nowadays, a government that promises to provide for us in our old age, unemployment, etc. (because we are too stupid and childish to do so for ourselves) also promises it will "protect" us from the bad guys. Liberty and security are incompatible. The more the government does for us the more the government has a right to tell us what to do and what not to do. If you want to be taken care of as if you were a 10-year-old then expect to be treated like a 10-year-old -- which includes being swatted when you get out of line.

For about $20K, a FBI background check, fingerprints, photographs and $200 for the tax stamp you can own one.

As the power of the family declines, the power of the Left grows.

Socialism in a nutshell.

I just want to borrow one for deer hunting. My Browning A-Bolt 270 with Leupold 3X10 50mm obj Gold Ring scope keeps the freezer full. But one of these babies could that and thin the trees too.

Only a boy would fall for this. A man would shrug and say, "Next!"

Sure, there are some things to issue ultimatums over: Stop drinking, stop running around, etc. But to make "Me or" demands is a huge red flag.

When I bought my first gun, my wife was not happy about it. She got over it. She isn't happy with my corvette (until she is driving it) but she gets over that. I am sure there are plenty of things I could list that she does wrong, but I don't keep track of them. I can "get over it" too.

I believe if I sold off all my guns, I might be in more than a little difficulty at home. She might think I'd try to do the same with some of hers. Though granted, she's not much for handguns or automatic rifles, preferring more sporting single shots herself.
