I did an extensive search and didn't find anything.
This truly roils me. Who would throw their money away on such a needless cause?
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
has there ever been a more important reminder for us to know to whom we give our money?
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
Was this Roy Krok's widow? I thought she died months ago.

Now we can pull it's taxpayer funding. They have plenty of cash.
Write Washington.

His money, his choice.
At least he didn't dump it into the CRA/NFRA, like Howard Ahmanson.

Uh, cancel that Big Mac, I'm heading over to BK for a Whopper!

And I'm sure our Republican Congress and Republican President will cut their budget by the same amount.
Maybe we can take that extra money and throw it at Education, to make sure "No Child is Left Behind."

Would you rather someone else fund it or
you fund it?
This is great news, actually. Let private donations fund NPR, not taxpayers' money.

Well, so much for patronizing McDonald's anymore.
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
I heard it was Ray Kroc's widow.
I happen to like NPR and give a donation to my local station every year. I also happen to be smart enought to turn the BS detector to full gain when listening to their news programming. No problem.
For fans of traditional Appalachian and Americana roots music, do a Google on WETS_FM and check out the program guide.
I believe they stream.

Would you rather someone else fund it or you fund it? Give me a break. Bush or the Repubs in Congress ain't gonna cut NPR's funding. That's what I'm angry about. We're gonna still pay for it no matter what.
That $200 Million could have went to the Ronald McDonald charities. When I go to Mickey D's I always contribute to the charity box hanging from the cashier's window.
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
Ehhh... isn't McDonald's the symbolism of capitalism and Western civilization which liberals hate?

Don't worry. The money will be burnt through within a couple of years, spent on PR, high overhead, and bloated salaries and egos and NPR will go back to begging the taxpayers for more handouts.

When it comes to McDonalds it is the one time I do agree with the french.
