A college friend of mine attended an Art gala at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu several years back in which he learned first hand how entertainers in L.A. view themselves. Scott met and chatted with such notables as Sean Connery, Milton Berle, and Barbra Streisand only to come away with the impression that these stars thought that if they surrounded themselves with art some of that art was bound to rub off on them much like children leave books under their pillows.
During the course of the evening all three stars committed errors, which Scott recounted with great glee. He watched Milton Berle fly into a temper tantrum when a museum aide asked him to stop blowing his cigar smoke on the paintings. Scott got to chat UK politics with Connery and was informed that Scotland was to be an independent nation dependent on British dole money.
However, the biggest faux pas of the evening was reserved for Ms Streisand. Among the art and artifacts in the museum's vaults is a collection of ancient Greek pornographic drinking vessels. These vessels usually see the light of day only by invitation of the curator. As the evening wore on the curator asked what he thought was a merry bunch down to the vaults to see the pornography. Scott was part of the group and as the lewdly painted kylix were brought out, Barbra Streisand, who only has a high school diploma, gasped and caused an angry fuss over the depiction of uncircumcised male genitalia. Evidently her knowledge of male anatomy as shown in ancient, non-AMA dominated cultures was limited and she stormed out immediately.
So it should not come as any surprise that Streisand's grasp of history failed her once more when it came to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan. Just like her viewing of the explicit kylix was clouded with her own prejudices, her endorsement and involvement in the now rejected CBS mini-series "The Reagans" exposes her as a typical Hollywood Useful Idiot of the West, furious that her beloved Bill Clinton is not the adored icon that is Reagan. Attacking an honored living President like Reagan, who is currently on his deathbed with a debilitating disease but whose good will and robust memories are still sharp and clear among the public, exposes Streisand and her cohorts as typically mean-spirited, bitter, miscalculating liberals who have nothing but contempt for American history. In true fashion she is backpedaling like crazy, doing damage control of sorts while digging the hole that she is in deeper still.
Ms Streisand, who likes to describe herself as a "well known liberal activist", is beginning to see some chickens coming home to roost when it comes to political fallout and commentary. That old saying of "They who live by the sword shall die by the sword" comes to mind because even CBS is running from this mini-Reagan smear fest like crazy due to the angry conservative American backlash. It now looks like Viacom's unpopular cable station, Showtime, will run the series thereby guaranteeing a limited audience whose sensibilities are already dulled from the steady stream of cheesy smut which seems to infest that network. Just how hard it was for Viacom, which owns both CBS and Showtime, to switch stations for "The Reagans" is anybody's guess. I'm thinking it wasn't very hard at all.

Moonves and his cohorts seem particularly upset that we are passing judgment on his creation, "...and they haven't even seen it yet."
Sure, I understand the logic. We should sit quietly back and let them fill our minds with their revisionist, spiteful slanders, and then if we don't want to see it, why, they won't show it to us.
Maybe I'm an idiot but I don't get it. Why would she storm out? Did she not know it was pornographic or did it have something to do with the uncircumcised depiction?
THE ABOVE HONKER IS PART OF ONE OF THE UGLIEST AND LEAST TALENTED LEFT WINGERS IN AMERICA!
She nearly qualifies as another species!
...of Anteater.
I wonder what kind of a quote we could get out of Slick Willie in all this? Unlike Streisand, he is much too smart to wear his emotions on the defeat on his sleave like she has on her website. Beating these people is starting to get easier because they are deevolving...
